Rain Confection (비가 고백)

First Love, First Confession. (먼저 사랑, 먼저 고백.)

Dongwoo sat on the empty park bench as he felt the patter of the freezing rain drops against his warm skin. He closed his misty eyes as his thoughts dived in to a cloudy ocean with only gold sight. Today is just like the day we first both confessed. It's the same date, time and even the weather is the same.

The only two differences is that we are a bit older and you are no longer by my side. I feel nothing but your warmth lingering behind like a distant shadow. My love will you see me again? Would you be able to find me in this ocean filled with nothing but worry. I only let you go with the promise of you returning to my side but why am I here sitting alone like this? I'm still, still waiting for my first love to return.

Dongwoo walked down the cold raining path of the park traveling home after practice. He had forgotten to take an umbrella with him, and just his luck the sky had opened up. The park was lowly light as he used the helpful glistening of the park lights to find his way. Music filled his ears as he rushed through the lonely park.

He stood watch as his eyes set onto a figure freely dancing in rain, the way his body moved freely and with infinite ease captivated him. The moon light that accompanied the park lamps hit him with joy, as his body showed its thoughts and troubles. Forgetting the cold rain that partnered with the cold of the night, he stood and watch in utter amazement.

Feeling the presents of another Hoya finished dancing catching his breath feeling the impact of the shivering rain. He opened his now closed eyes and his vision set on the guy that he always loved seeing.

"Dongwoo hyung." Hoya breathed without thinking. He watched as the rain ran down his hair and onto his face. He watched as his eyes were fixed on him not wanting to let go.

"That was brilliant." Dongwoo expressed after looking at Hoya for some time. He couldn't believe he was there dancing in the rain of all things.

Dongwoo and Hoya had been friends for a long time and was known around college as two of the top dancers in school. And when they danced together they were a force to be receded with.

Dongwoo had over time grew feelings for the other, at first he thought that it was a mere crush. But the feeling did nothing but grow. He didn't think that he could love and admire someone this much. Hoya is Dongwoo's first love a love that he wants to hold on to for as long as he can.

"H-How long have you been standing there hyung?" He questioned breaking the settled silence that had quickly gathered.

"Not for long. It's quite strange to be dancing in the middle of the park in the rain don't you think?" Dongwoo pointed out as he watched the other using the light that he had.

"Yeah you could say. But I find it some what refreshing and anyway there is no one here usually at this time so it's fine." Hoya said calmly as he moved to pack up his things that he rested safely under neath the dry shelter.

"You should go home. You could catch a cold if you stay out here for too long." He said as he came back to the realization of the weather and the pounding rain drops against his drenched clothes.

"Don't worry hyung. But you know what's funny?" He asked.

"No what is it?" Dongwoo wondered not being able to guess what the other may have on his mind.

"You do look like a dinosaur like this." He giggled.

"Yah! What is wrong with looking like a dinosaur they're awesome." Dongwoo said with a faint smile.

"I know hyung." Hoya laughed.

"But there is something I have to say. I I wanted to say something important, would you listen to what I have to say?" Dongwoo said as his tone changed from a joking tone to a more serious one.

"Sure, of course, I would listen to what you have to say hyung, why wouldn't I?" He smiled as he now looked into Dongwoo's beautiful eyes that glistened in the moon light.

"It's just that..I just want to...I." Dongwoo began before taking a deep breath before finishing what he had to say. "I really like you and I was hoping that we could go out on a date. It's okay if you don't want to, I completely understand. I guess I would be going then, I don't want to catch a cold." He said awkwardly before turning to walk away.

"But I haven't said anything yet." Hoya called.

"It's fine, forget that I have ever said anything." He breathed.

"That's a shame because I wanted to say yes and that I like you too. But since you insisted for me to forget it maybe I should. Wait what are we talking about again? Oh yes of course how we would catch a cold if we stay out here for too long." He smirked.

"Wait what did you say?" Dongwoo turned back with shock and excitement.

"I said that we would catch a cold if we-" He began but stopped when he meet with Dongwoo gaze, for someone that smiled all the time he sure had a threatening gaze when he wanted to. "Fine I said that I like you too. We should become a couple or something." He said

"Yeah we- achoo." Dongwoo began before cutting himself off with a sneezed,

"See I told you, we should get you home I don't want my boyfriend getting sick now do I?" Hoya said with a smile as he took his hand and led him home.

After taking Dongwoo home he returned home himself. And after taking a warm and comforting shower, he lay in his bed surrounded by thought. Upon remembering Dongwoo confession he couldn't help but smile.

-----

Hoya woke to the crazy ringing of his phone cutting though the morning silence as a knife cutting through a cake. With a little effort, Hoya slothfully picked up his phone forgetting to check the caller id out of tiredness.

"Hello?" He answered with his low voice.

"Hoya go on with out me. I don't think I would make it." The person called out tiredly causing Hoya to look at the called id out of confusion.

"Dongwoo, what on earth are you talking about?" He questioned.

"I'm sick. If I don't make it out of this alive I just want you to know that it... it achoo... is all your fault." Dongwoo called dramatically.

"Yah, how is it my fault?" Hoya disagreed.

"You were dancing in the rain out of nowhere and I stopped to watch when I should have been focusing on getting out of the rain. I didn't even have an umbrella and got socked." Dongwoo explained.

"Why dose it make it my fault?" He asked.

"Just because." The other called.

"I'm coming over I'll be there soon." Hoya said before hanging up and lazily got out of bed and got ready to go out.

Hoya got to Dongwoo house quickly stopping by the chemist on the way to pick up some medicine for Dongwoo to take. He rang the door bell hurriedly and waited for someone to open it.

He had been round his house a lot, they have always been close. Maybe that's why they felt comfortable with each others presence. And he loved Dongwoo personality. The way that his smile would be able to light up the whole room and you could feel his energy from a mile away. Hoya had never really like anyone the way he liked Dongwoo, it just seemed that they got a long so perfectly.

Dongwoo's mother opened the door with a smile on here face as she greeted Hoya. She had short black hair that rested on her shoulder and she wore a suit ready for work.

"Good morning Hoya. You must have come to see Dongwoo, right? I'm running late so I must go it was nice seeing you." Dongwoo's mum said in a hurry as she rushed out of the house.

Hoya climbed the stairs and wondered with ease through the spacious hall to Dongwoo's bedroom. And after knocking gently on the door and after hearing an answer he entered the bright room and pulling a chair close to his bed before sitting down.

"My sick dinosaur, how are you feeling?" He said while he took out some medicine to give to Dongwoo.

"Like I have just been to hell and back again." Dongwoo explained before coughing vigorously.

"I'm sure it's not that bad. It would be okay if you rest and take your medicine. Don't worry I will be here to look after you." Hoya smiled while he peered into Dongwoo's eyes that glistened by the sun that moves freely though the open blinds.

"Now, You rest while I make you something delicious to eat. I'm no professional cook but I'm sure that you would like it." He smiled as he stood up from the chair letting out a long and exhausted breath.

"How do you know that I would like what you cook?' Dongwoo asked as he sat up slightly as he watches Hoya head to the door.

"But aren't couples suppose to like each other's food even if it doesn't taste good?" He asked in a curious voice.

"I guess they are supposed to. But that doesn't mean you should cook something horrible." Dongwoo said with a worried look.

"Don't worry I may not be an award wining chef but I would try my best, anything for my angel." He turned and teased before leaving the room.

Hoya walked into the bright kitchen as he got lost in thought of what to cook. Think Hoya, think what should you cook. He thought as he looked around the kitchen in hopes of being able to think of something good to cook.

He had never cooked for someone he cared about and he wanted to make it taste really nice for Dongwoo. He had never been in a relationship before.  And he wanted it to be perfect and maybe it was kind of Hoya's fault in the slightest that he was ill.

He took out the nearest cook book and looked though it for a recipe that he felt comfortable with and he started to cook, measuring everything out perfectly and making sure to follow each and every step perfectly. He defiantly didn't want to mess up not even in the slightest

Dongwoo fell asleep shortly after Hoya leaving the room. And woke up again to the heavenly smell of the sent of food venturing around the house giving him a friendly greeting in passing. He had barely eaten today and the smell of the food made him feel hungry and he couldn't help but to get out of bed to check what was going on.

He got up as dizziness speared to his head, but he quickly dismissed it and headed out of the room and walked quietly down the stairs to the kitchen where his boyfriend worked with determination.

Silently he walked into the kitchen and his heart skipped a beat as his eyes set on Hoya how was busy with cooking. He crept behind him hugging him from behind, smiling at the comforting warmth that the other gave off.

"Yah! What are you doing, you scared me." Hoya jumped at the unexpected presents of Dongwoo.

"You're so warm." He cooed as he continued to hug him.

"You're meant to be resting. It's not the best thing to sneak up on someone while they are cooking." Hoya said.

"I got hungry, is the food ready yet?" Dongwoo asked still hugging him.

"It's will be soon. It would be done sooner if someone would stop hugging me when I'm trying to cook." Hoya said.

"Fine, I'll sit and watch you cook." He said before letting go of Hoya and walking over to the kitchen table sitting down and resting his head in his hands as he observed Hoya, who continued with the food.

Once the food was ready Hoya sat it on the table ready for the two of them to eat. He admired his own work as he was pleased that it look almost like how it did in the picture, he just hoped that it tasted okay too. He sat to watch as Dongwoo picked up a pair of chop sticks and began to eat. After a few bites, Dongwoo stopped and looked up a Hoya.

"What, Dose it taste bad?" Hoya questioned with worry as he was still yet to try any.

"No, It tastes really good. I'm just really shocked. You must be good at everything. My boyfriend is just too perfect." He said before he continued eating causing a smile to sweep across Hoya's face as he watched Dongwoo before starting to eat.

After eating Dongwoo took some medicine and went to rest as Hoya clean up the dishes even though he was cleaning he was happy because even if Dongwoo had been upstairs resting for most of the day he was able to help even if it was just a little.

Once the cleaning was done he snuck up stairs quietly opening the door pepping inside to see a peaceful Dongwoo resting on the bed as his mind reached the far corners of dream land. He smiled once again it just felt so surreal that the two of them are actually in a relationship and Hoya couldn't be any happier.

----

With the passing months, the two of them enjoyed the relationship. They had gone on dates, spending time with each other and enjoying each others company. They didn't fight and not once had a disagreement. They had been friends before dating, good friends at that, so they already knew each other well and had a general idea of what each other liked and what each other didn't like. So there was no need to fight. However not matter what each and every relationships has it's struggle.

Dongwoo stood at the airport as he watched Hoya bored the plain his heart hurting, he had grown comfortable with Hoya being around him most of the time. He was aware that he would see him again soon but things change with time and that was something that would be out of his control. With technology they would still be able to talk but it's not the same as having him by his side in person.

He smiled sadly as he waved his first love off hoping that he would reach his destination safely and that they would be reunited soon.

=Present=

Dongwoo sat on the park bench as he felt the rain comfort him. To him it was funny, he used to hate the rain and everything about it but now he loved it. He thought that it, in a way, was magical. For the day that he finally had the courage to confess it was raining.

He sat in thought as he worried. Recently he and Hoya had been talking less and it worried him he started to think that maybe Hoya had grown sick on him.

Dongwoo lazily stood up and strolled over to the stage that he watched Hoya dance on a two years ago. He the music and allowed his body to move to the inspiring music as he felt free of all thought at that present moment. He allowed the cold rain to drench him yet he accepted it with comfort.

The music stopped and his dance ended and he breathed to catch his breath in the cold air when he got startled by a loud clapping.

"Wah that was great! See didn't I tell you that it was refreshing to dance out here like this?" The voice boomed through the parks night air. The voice that he had been missing for so long. The voice that he was sure that he would never get tired of hearing.

"Hoya?" Dongwoo called out as his vision traveled thought the lightly lit air and landed on Hoya. For a second he thought that it was a dream but convinced himself other wise.

Dongwoo smiled just like always but this time, his smile was brighter he was with Hoya again and now his world was complete. Just like finding that last missing puzzle piece, he was complete.
