Foreword
A sharp distinct tone can be heard in the distance. But aside from the noise, nothing else can be made out from the darkness, the shrill note and the softer sounds of sobbing filling the male's ears completely. Staring out into the darkness, he takes a deep breath, unafraid of the darkness as he waits. He does not know what exactly he is waiting for, but his heart instinctively knows. As he feels the time approaching, the aged male opens his mouth but no words come out as his heart speaks for him.
Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight;
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight
"What is it that your heart desires?" Asked the brightest star in the sky in answer to the dying man's childish wish, its beams of energy lighting up the darkness that enveloped both it and the being in front of it.
Like in between a dream and reality, as if in the infamous 'twilight' zone that was once a rave in the past, the star grew brighter as the male's heart answered his question for him. Soon, he was enveloped in the blinding light and in a flash, he was young again.
I wish to relive my life once again, to experience everything that I felt once more before I die. Just one more time.
