“Do you remember? We were young….we held hands….we danced in the rain….”

He takes his time to evoke, and I wonder if they are tears which I see rolling down his cheeks or the raindrops from above.

“I remember…” He replies and gently squeeze my hands. “Us holding hands, dancing in the rain…I remember…”

I move a little closer, almost touching, and smile.

“That’s what I like to recall”
