Jungkook came to school the next day.  It was quiet.

Too quiet.

He entered the classroom and the monsters looked afraid.  As he approached his desk, he slowed down.

Soyoung wasn’t in her seat.  She was usually here.

The bell was about the ring.  Maybe she was running late.

Wrong.

The teacher came in with a grim face.  Jungkook waited for the lesson to begin.

“I hope you all are proud of yourselves.” The teacher’s voice was sour and sarcastic.

“If you wanted this to happen, give yourselves a round of applause.”  Jungkook was confused but deep down inside he could feel that something was gravely wrong.

“Kang Soyoung is no longer breathing because of you guys.”  Jungkook’s heart stopped.
