I laid my body on the back rest, staring at the desk while thinking back of the incident yesterday. We need to do something. I let out a deep sigh. What is Kyu going to do? “Jinnie, please come in.” I shot up instantly and saw Hyukjae walking past me to his room.

I stood up and followed him. I closed the door behind me as he stopped and turned to look at me with a serious look. Did something happen? “Why didn’t you tell me?!” He spoke out as I rose my eyebrow in confusion.

My eyes widened as I realised that he knew what had happened yesterday. “How did you….” I asked but was interrupted by him, “Kyu hyung called to tell me to take good care of you when he’s not around, and he told me that she had been pestering you lately.”

“Aish! Park Heejin!” He yelled alittle before he took a deep breath. “I should have know.” He mumbled before taking steps towards me. He took my chin with his hand and lifted it up to face him.

“I am your best friend right?” He spoke softly and I nodded, “So you have to tell me everything. So that I can protect you too.” How about Sooyoung? I thought and it seems like he knew what am I thinking as he spoke, “Don’t need to worry about Youngie.”

My eyes widened as he smirked, “I know you too well, Park Heejin.” I rolled my eyes at him as he released his hand. “So promise me that you will tell me everything. Best friends don’t have secrets right?” I gave a thin smile and nodded slowly.

As promised, Hyukjae had been accompanying me for lunch for days and he will send me home if Kyu is not able to. “Thanks Hyuk.” I thanked him as we reached the door. He flashed his gummy smile and nodded. “Hurry go, she’s waiting for you already.” I continued as I held his shoulder and turned him around before giving him a slight push.
