blanket hug (feat. EXO's Baekhyun)

The room was silent, not making any sounds to interfere the repetitive taps of the raindrops on every single surface of the house, except for your rhythmic breaths. Both of you were supposed to watch a movie, but he fell asleep midway and hugged you as if you were a bolster. Comforted by the warmth, you couldn’t help but to get sleepy as well and dozed off.

Feeling some weight on your shoulder, you woke up and opened your eyes. The television has shown the top menu back, still as ever. You nudged your boyfriend’s head lightly with your shoulder. “Oppa, wake up…”

He groaned sleepily and only hugged you tighter. “Five more minutes….”

“But I have to go home. Look, it’s dark already outside,” you pointed out, trying to knock some snese into your koala boyfriend’s head.

“All the more reasons you should stay,” he replied with his misplaced morning voice, not moving an inch–not even opening his eyes.

You laughed. “Byun Baekhyun oppa, you’re such a child. Get up,” you said, wiggling your way out forcefully out of his hold. Only then Baekhyun opened his eyes.

“What did I do to get such a hardheaded girlfriend–“ he mumbled, both face expression and hair still messy from sleep.

“You slept too much.” You said simply, sitting beside him. “You need to wake up, or else you won’t be able to sleep tonight.

He didn’t say anything- only rubbing his eyes sleepily and looking around, still catching parts of his wandering soul. Noticing him being off guard, you took it as a cue for packing up and preparing to leave. Just when you stood up to take your bag, Baekhyun went to his whiny self.

“Yah, yah, where are you going?”

“Home?”

“Why- you’re staying here.”

You scoffed. “Nuh-uh. And you think you could do that while lazying around on your couch? I’m definitely going home like-“

Baekhyun suddenly sprung up from the couch, spreading the blanket the two of you were using behind his back and wrapped you in it. You screamed in surprise, laughing as he caught your tiny frame in his blanket embrace and pulled you back onto the couch while tickling you. “You’re not going anywhere,” he said, grinning mischievously as he held your body close to him, restraining you.

“I get it, I get it!” You laughed uncontrollably, trying to wiggle out of his tickles. “Stop it! I’m not going anywhere!” He finally stopped tickling, and you shifted so that you sit crossing your legs facing him.

Baekhyun grinned childishly, crouching and looking up at your face while sitting across you. “Finally. We're going to have an awesome night. I promise.” He pecked your lips suddenly, taking you by surprise. You were stunned for a while, before cupping his cheeks and kissed his lips. He responded, closing his eyes and putting his hand over yours before moving them on your crossed legs.

“I have the best girlfriend ever,” he said, beaming while removing some strands of hair from your face. You couldn't help but look away shyly, smiling as your cheeks flushed red because of his words.

“I have the best boyfriend, too.”
