Kings and Queens

You were the flesh to my bones,

Covered all my faults.

I'm sick of the phantoms

Of our Yesterdays.

Soak my soul in acid

And blame me for it.

This game has just begun,

But you've already lost.

Pushing the pain away

In a corner of my head,

I inhale the unhealthy smoke

Of a destroyed fate today.

Sitting on a throne of scars,

I watch you flee,

The walking mystery

Of these unfought wars

And unfair victory.

Chapter 8: Mmm. Love and greed are two things that are rarely placed together in the same sentence. But this poem makes it seem slightly normal to see it together. Charming poem, I must say. (:

Chapter 2: This poem is the only poem that I can understand, and I must say that it is really beautiful. It is only such a pity that my French is so rudimentary that I can't understand basic sentences... ):
