Night in Shining Armor
A L'Encre Noire
Night in Shining Armor
As the majestic Monarch shall rise
The Night its wings shall jeopardize
Depriving it of silver armor,
Setting fire to your strong beliefs :
Don't be fooled by deceptive candor,
Appearance is never what it seems.
What is beautiful is scarcely good.
What is good is rarely beautiful.
Pitch black Night is better than falsehood,
Butterflies are nothing but harmful.
When the gorgeous, Blue Monarch will rise,
The silent Night shall be filled with cries.
In a wingbeat, it spreads its poison.
Wrapping the Night in its silky arms,
Its embrace a colourful prison.
The sole battle is against the Self,
Don't let yourself become a waif.
You remain the master of your Soul,
Even if it is as dark as coal.
Within us all sleeps a butterfly,
It's up to you not to make it fly.
Night, Night
