Tbh, I am NOT sure what I want to do with this very overused au but I've always had this urge to write something dedicated to my favorite OTP.

Foreword
Business mergers. Arranged marriages. This was the life they had since they were born.

This was their duty. Their obligation.

Strangers. Contracts. The marriage that will give birth to a great empire.
"You have declared your consent before the Church. May the Lord in His goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings. What God has joined, men must not divide. Amen."
The ring that sealed the deal. People called it "the wedding of the century".

"Groom - do you take Baekhyun to be your wife; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"
