They said I wouldn't be able to do it.

They said it's never happened before.

They said I'll get myself killed before I reach my goal.

I say they're just afraid to try. 

Set in the time after the great apocalypse, the human race only recently in the last 200 years began to increase in numbers. A new generation of humans are uprising except this time, the basics rights of life are violated. From birth, newborns are pricked at the heel of the foot and a single drop of their blood is all that is needed to predict their entire existence. Whether the child is a Galite or an Elite. 

Ga•lite [gah-leet]: The inferior. The human is comprised of sufficient qualities to carry out its life, however lacks mentally, physically, or length in lifespan. Galites are considered lower class humans, forced to live in the lower regions of the country, separated by a heavily barracaded wall. The government sees no use in Galites therefore strips them of their privilege of professions, education and wealth.  

E•lite [ih-leet, ey-leet]: The superior. Born with qualities that surpass the average human, Elites overpower Galites mentally, physically and length in lifespan. Residing in the upper regions of countries, they have the benefit of proper education and their basics for living are covered by the government. Also known as the leaders, representing the upper class of countries. 

The government very rarely allows a Galite to enter into the Elite region. The only acceptable time for a Galite to be seen inside the Elite region is when they are working under the government for the Elites. Jobs such as these are known to be honorable, as the wall of separation is nearly impossible to cross over. The government is to be feared. 

Jung Haneul has always been strong mentally. Her birth blood test even says so. She knows that the government is wrong for using the system, but what can she do? She's a Galite.
