Foreword

The first time Yixing takes care of a child is when his apartment neighbor knocks at his door. He didn't think watching a child is hard (he likes children, really) but seeing the 4-year old girl run around his apartment room without giving any hints that she is already tired and wants to take a nap is making him want to pull his hair. If it's not for the extra money and free dinner, he won't be doing this job (he's got work to do). Still the smile of this kid is endearing and Yixing feels like he falls in love--though most of the time he sighs to himself.

His neighbor just moved to Yixing's next apartment room yesterday. He didn't realize the visit from his neighbor has resulted to taking care of his daughter. Yixing has suggested to bring his neighbor’s daughter to a pre-school so she will be given some education and play with some same age friends. Sadly, no, her overprotective father just hates seeing her daughter grow up and start interacting with some people other than her family (for God's sake Yixing is another people too. "But you are our neighbor so you aren't counted").

"Yongjoo-ah, time to take a nap," Yixing picks up the active girl to his hip and brings her to his guest room so she can take a nap.

When finally Yixing puts the little girl on the bed, the little girl doesn't seem to let Yixing go easily. She grips the hem of Yixing's shirt and mumbles things Yixing can't understand. Yixing sighs to himself (again) and sits on the bed to listen to what she's going to say.

"Oppa, sleep with me," Yongjoo pleads, eyes bigger than it should be.

"I have work to do," he reasoned.

"But I can't sleep if someone's not beside me." Thick droplets start running down and Yixing doesn't have the heart to decline the little girl's wish.

Yixing settles himself down next to Yongjoo. Even though deadline is near--he can pull an all-nighter tonight--he can't bear seeing the beautiful girl sad, talk about his weakness with children. He caresses the 4 year old girl's hair until she falls asleep and in no time, Yixing follows her to dreamland. Before dream engulfs Yixing, he wonders where Yongjoo's mother is.

When clock strikes at 6, Yixing wakes up. He looks at the little girl who's still sleeping peacefully next to him. Yixing thinks he prefers the active girl than the sleeping girl--though she looks unbearably cute and Yixing wants to pinch her cheek. At least there is a color in his dull life. Being an unmarried one doesn't mean he is a free person, not when sometimes he feels lonely or wakes up alone without somebody beside him and when his friends are married or have boyfriends or girlfriends. Totally sum up Yixing's boring life until today, with little girl named Yongjoo—who makes him follow the girl around the apartment (hey Yixing needs to exercise too). No wonder her father doesn't want her to grow up and wish to forever stay little—harsh world is harsh.

***

Yongjoo's father picks her up exactly at 8 pm. He says he had some additional work to do that made him stay a little bit longer and apologizes to his angel in front of him. As promised, the father bought Yixing a delicious dinner—and the tip.

"Baby, did Yixing Samchon take a good care of you?" the father asks.

"Of course appa! But don't call him samchon! Call him oppa!" she exclaims.

"And why is that? He is almost in the same age as appa, baby."

"Nope. Don't wanna call him samchon." For now she puffs her chubby cheeks making her look cuter.

"Whatever floats your boat baby," he admits his defeat by lifting her up to his hip and kissing her pointed nose.

Yixing sighs for the nth times already. He can feel the love radiating from his neighbor, and he feels jealous. Who doesn't? This little angel is so cute. Thus making Yixing wonder, when will he get to get married and have kids? (just maybe the kids are adopted or something because the reason why Yixing is single is he's gay and he's picky)

"Thank you for today, Yixing."

"You're welcome, Yifan."

"Just Kris will do. See you tomorrow."

What Yixing doesn't know is that babysitting his neighbor’s daughter escalates into something he doesn't expect.

see you
