Choices Sehun Made
You're the Choice I Won't Regret
Every time Sunhee managed to finally break out of the state in which she was detached from everything around her, she became a nervous wreck. When she was in that state it felt like she got no control over her own body and the world around her. It frightened her.
The day Jongin witnessed her during one of her episodes wasn’t the first time she had forgotten about the unpleasant happenings during her detached state. Whenever Sunhee would get into that state she would feel as if she was dreaming. Like she watched life from a third person’s point of view. That’s why she often thought that it was just a distant dream. She tended to suffer of anxiety breakdowns when she found out that everything was real. According to experts, it was natural just like it was to forget most of her episodes shortly after these breakdowns.
But Sehun didn’t. He remembered everything; every listless movement when Sunhee was in that state and the anxiety the girl went through right after she got out of it.
He never mentioned anything about the late night confessions that Sunhee whispered to him, slightly incoherently, about how she doesn’t want to keep losing her mind like this.
His friends and family didn’t know about the confessions and how they made him feel. That’s why they couldn't seem to accept that Sehun simply couldn’t walk away from this relationship with her. They didn't understand that he didn't want to walk away from Sunhee.
This wasn’t an ordinary relationship they had. It was a bit dysfunctional since Sehun was Sunhee’s caretaker in a way but nobody else before her could make his heart hurt from whispered confessions before.
Sehun had been known for being an absolute jackass. Whispered confessions from his partner of the week (or day) had made him laugh, sneer and mock at their feelings. Sehun thought that it was a sign that even before he found out about Sunhee’s condition, he wasn’t able to mock her feelings. He would hide the fact that those affections pleased him and glared angrily at her when Sunhee for it.
Whenever Sunhee was having a good day he tried to forget about the past. He wanted to remember the here and now.
Like how now, Sunhee’s eyes were closed as their lips crushed against each other’s and his hand slid down her back. Sunhee’s lips turned up into a smirk almost as if she knew what Sehun was thinking and she pulled a little on his blond locks.
“Stop thinking.”
She insisted without leaving any room for argument. Sehun didn’t argue and soon he had Sunhee speechless and even unable to think coherently.
The hours he spent feeling helpless and useless by just being there while Sunhee worked herself out of her anxiety from another one of her what seemed like never ending episodes, weren’t important to him compare
