It was silent. The only noise including the wind that swiftly whisked and the crinkling of the leaves as they were picked up being strewn about. Nature must have known what was about to come, for all the animals seemed to be in hiding and the water stilled the only movement coming ever so often when something fell from the trees causing a ripple. If people were to pass by at the moment they would probably think

"Something big is about to happen."

I rested my hand against the cool crisp grass, looking up at the person and thought to myself

Yep something big is about to happen.

I mean it had to. Just by the way he was grasping my other hand in between both of his, his gaze shooting through my eyes as if he were trying to see into my soul. Or rather me into his. I could see his nervousness by the way his jaw would clench and unclench and he would bite his lip, the old habit of his. He was staring so intently for a second I thought his eyes were either going to pop out or break into a twitch. 

It took all my will power not to laugh. 

I've never seen his so serious, with him on one knee my hand being crushed between his. I've never seen his face so contempt on something his hair being whipped around with such intensity yet at the same time everything almost seemed...tranquil. 

Hearing whispers, I looked around and seeing the confused and shocked faces I rolled my eyes knowing what all those fools were picturing. 

"But their only students."

"Wah, such young love."

"Daebak, I want my man to do that."

I looked back to the boy in front of me with a sigh,

"Um Kai. Is everything alright?"

He didn't break contact, instead he squeezed my hand tighter making me inwardly groan from the slight pain he was now causing. If we weren't in puplic I probably would have shot up and hit him square in the face saying,

"Yah! That hurts, hurry up and just say it."

"Jae there's something that I've been meaning to tell you."

Oh great. If we hadn't gotten the crowd wild with just the position we were in, that sentence completed the task. I could hear girls squeeling and if I wasn't crazy I could have sworn I saw a flash go off. What's wrong with people these days? Fighting to keep my composure, I gave the people what they wanted. Taking my other hand, I brought it up grasping Kai's looking him directly in the eyes with concern.

"What is it Jongie, everything alright?"

More squeals.

Maybe I should become an actress, this was kinda fun.

Especially since Kai seemed to be completely oblivious to all the intrigued bystanders watching us as if we were their live action drama. He only leaned in closer, this time looking at the ground,

"I've been thinking about how to tell you this.."

I rolled my eyes,

"Geez just say it already." I heard someone scoff under their breath and I could only nod in agreement.

"Just say it Jongie."

We looked at each other once more as he slowly leaned in. Coming closer and closer I could feel his warm breath on my neck and out of the corner of my eye I could have sworn I saw an ajumma faint. Feeling the hairs on my neck rise, he tilted his head so that his lips were right next to my ear and I unconcously shivered the feeling weird.

"I'm....gay."

He started to slowly lean back, his hands on my shoulder, his eyes taking in every inch of my face. I blinked a few times, my head swimming with thoughts. Dropping my head to keep composure, I felt my shoulders being rubbed.

"I know it's alot to take in. I'm sorry for not saying something sooner I-"

He stopped when he felt my body shaking.

"Jae?"

I felt a hand gently push my hair behind my ear and another gently carress my cheek, lifting my face.

"No, don't I-"

He fully lifted my face and looking him directly in the eyes I couldn't take it.

I fell over laughing.

I could hear people scoff and curse,

"Chincha?"

"What the heck was that?"

"Lame."

Looking at him in the corner of my peripheral with a petrified look on his face, I laughed even harder clutching my stomach.

"Oh my gosh your face. I can't- I can't." 

He just fell back on his watching me in horror.

"Wh-Why are you laughing?"

Taking his point of view, I quickly shot up, crawling next to him.

"Mianhe. Mianhe. I shouldn't laugh."

I watched his eyebrows furrow as he slowly turned looking at me.

"I'm being serious you know. I'm not joking."

I nodded wrapping my hands around his arm, rubbing them reasurringly. Taking a moment to become serious I looked him back in the eyes,

"I know your being serious Jong In. It's just..I already knew you were. I've know for a long time."

If his eyes could pop out of their sockets, I think they would have at the moment. He looked at me as if I just slaughtered his puppies in front of him. 

"You-you knew?? Since when?"

I sighed.

"Jong In we've known each other since we were in diapers. We're practically glued at the hips. Besides I could tell by the way you looked at my uncle Taemin every time he came to visit."

With the mention of Taemin his face turned bright red and he quickly bit his bottom lip, his hands gripping the grass.

"Yah! What are you talking about- Ha!"

I just lifted an eyebrow at him and he coughed,

"You really knew?"

I nodded again. He looked out at the grass and the little stream that cut the park in half, his eyes filled with worry,

"An-and you don't find me..digusting? A monst-monster, a disgrace?"

I lifted my hand to his cheek making him turn towards me and gave him a soft expression hoping he would understand my feelings,

"Jongie, I could never find you digusting or a monster, and trust me you're not a disgrace."

I watched compassionately as he placed his hand over mine snuggling into my hand reasurred,

"Thank god, I didn't know what I'd do if you hated me."

I smiled at him. Bringing up my other hand, I wrapped my arms around him hugging him.

"I could never hate you, your like a brother to me Kai."

I felt his own hands wrap around my back, his face dropping into the crook of my shoulder.

"I love you Jae, you know that right?"

I couldn't help but smile patting the back of his head,

"I love you too Kai. Besides I've always wanted a gay best friend."

I winced feeling my head get whacked,

"Too early for gay jokes?" 

And with that we both began to laugh.

"I'll give you till the count of three Jong In."

I twisted my head awkwardly to look at him since we were currenty walking all the while with me in a headlock. He just looked down on me laughing,

"Shiro!"

I swear this guy..

"1...2.."

He only continued to shake his head,

"3! You asked for it."

Taking my hands I began to jab at his sides making his yelp and laugh at the same time.

"Yah..stop..yah.." He pleaded, but this time it was my turn to shake my head.

"Then let me go."

"No."

"Then I won't stop."

Continuing to jab him in his weak spots, I began to feel uncomfortable stares and letting my eyes wonder I began to notice the looks and whispers.

"Yah I said to stop-" He laughed and I just tugged on his shirt making him look down at me,

"Is it just me or are people staring at us funny?"

I watched as he just shook his head,

"So they always look at us. If this is your ploy to trick me-"

I shook my head,

"Aniya, I mean their looking at us differently then normal. Did something happen?"

He looked around and furrowing his brows he slowly began to let go of my head, once again looking at me,

"Um I don't know...."

Standing normal or rather stretching my back, back to normal, we slowed our pace looking around at the weird atmosphere. Stepping closer to him, I placed my hand on his arm and when I did I heard a few gasps.

"So it is true."

"Ottake?"

"I knew it would happen."

"But he's soooo hot."

"Yah, if it's Jae I don't mind."

Blinking we looked at each other.

"Did you just hear what I heard?"

He nodded. Before we were able to say anything else though we heard yells and both turned as we watched two goons come to a halt in front of us, heaving.

"Ka-kai. I can't believe you."

More heaving.

"How could yo-you not te-tell us."

We looked at them confused.

"Tell you guy's what?"

I crossed my arms at the two,

"What are you guy's talking about? Why is everyone looking at us funny?"

The two finally caught their breath. The taller one resting his arm on the shorters shoulder.

"I still can't believe it, I thought we were friends."

I could tell Jong In was getting annoyed just by looking at him,

"Yah! Just spit it out Chanyeol. Baekhyun what is he talking about?"

We looked at the shorter one for an answer,

"Some kids saw you guys yesterday, at the park."

I only raised my brows,

"So..?"

Chanyeol continued,

"And they saw the whol scene saying that Kai had finally confessed to you."

"They said it was a huge thing that even drew in a crowd, and how you two were laughing, hugging..."

"They said you even kissed."

My eyes went big and I turned towards Jong In who was wearing the same expression I was,

"Eh?"

"Kiss?"

I thought back to yesterday,

Kiss, when did we kiss?

My eyes went wide. When Jong In had leaned in to whisper in my ear, it must have looked like we kissed. Feeling myself fumming I turned toward the idiot smaking him,

"Yah! This is your fault."

"Wae?" He looked at me shocked and the two guys looked between us,

"So it is true?"

Turning slowly, I looked at them my eyes daggers speechless.

"Why didn't you two tell us."

I sighed and looking around I noticed that everyone had stopped, watching us. Pulling on Jong In's arm he also looked around also sighing.

"I don't know what you guys are thinking but it's no-" He suddenly stopped and wondering what was wrong I looked at him.

"Jong In?"

Ignoring me, he looked spaced out and I pulled on his arm.

"It's no-" He stopped once again making me confused.

What was wrong?

I looked at his face and matched his eyes, following his line of direction. Turning my head slowly, I saw Kyungsoo standing there like a brick wall. Furrowing my brows confused, I looked back at Jong In who in fact was looking directly at Kyungsoo. Feeling my arm moving, I watched as Jong In took a step towards him,

"It's a misunderstanding." I heard him say aloud, but I got the feeling that it was directed towards a specific person.

Watching with curiousity, Kyungsoo only shook his head turning to walk away. Looking up, I saw the hurt in Jong In's eyes as he watched Kyungsoo begginning to leave,

"It's not what it seems. I swear!!"

He took another step forward, but was stopped by Chanyeol and Baekhyun who looked like to pitbulls wanting the same bone.

"Woah, not so fast buddy. You have a lot of explaining to do."

Jong In just looked at them with anger, catching not only them, but also myself off gaurd since I've never seen him look like that. Pushing their arms off, I felt my own drop from his as he ran off, leaving in the direction where Kyungsoo once was. They looked at him in horror,

"What was that?"

Looking at me, I couldn't bring myself to look back at them and found myself staring at where Jong In was only a second ago, his back slowly geting smaller and smaller in my line of vision. I could only blink.

"You guys are right."

"We are?" I could hear them say, but all of it soon became a blur.

There was a lot of explaining to do.
