"Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm finally going to meet Jaejoong!" Baekhyun excitedly mumbled into his hands, unable to keep himself still as he kept on switching from bouncing on his feet in excitement to wanting to squeal at the thought of seeing Jaejoong's perfect face. The thought of seeing one of his favorite idols seemed almost too much to handle, especially when he had a backstage pass and VIP access to actually seeing the guy this time instead of having to watch the man from afar at the concerts he went to or getting two seconds worth of conversation at fan-sign events. The hardship of being a fan, especially for someone like Jaejoong, who only had so many ways to promote unlike other solo artists and groups, was terrible. 

He couldn't deal.

It was like a dream come true and he couldn't wait to see him and look at him and actually talk to him. 

"I know, right! He's just so cool and every time I see him he gets even more so." Myungsoo gushed, just as excited, too busy in fantasy land to really care what the others were doing. Even if his boyfriend was behind him and probably didn't care about half as much about Jaejoong as Myungsoo did, the older boy just happy to have gotten to go to a concert with some of their other friends. Luhan and Minseok quietly talking to some of the backup dancers as they waited to see Jaejoong as well, all of them with VIP/Backstage passes around their necks.  

Of the five, it was obvious that Myungsoo was Jaejoong's biggest fanboy and had quite the hard-on for him, despite being attached to Yixing and having met the older man various times through Woohyun, who had actually been taken under Jaejoong's wings barely a year ago. Woohyun and Sunggyu always having the coolest friendships with people, like Sunggyu with Heechul or Woohyun with Key and Jaejoong. Their roots meaning nothing when it came to them, while Myungsoo was that dongsaeng that everyone loved, especially all his coworkers that took a liking to him within a few hours and looked at him as if he needed to be fed chicken nuggets all the time and be taken care of, because that's the type of feelings Myungsoo usually instilled in people. 

Even Baekhyun who was barely two months younger than Myungsoo had wanted to keep an eye on the kid, despite them being same age friends. The boy having such an interesting outlook on the world that Baekhyun was pretty sure that if people didn't watch out for Myungsoo from time to time, he would be taken advantage of. Especially since the last time he had a significant other, they literally put him through the ringer.

But he had Yixing now and despite how annoyingly cute they could be, Yixing would never take advantage or hurt Myungsoo if he could help it. Especially since Dongwoo hyung, despite being the sweetest of Infinite, could be pretty scary when he wanted to be and not to mention Sunggyu who used to give Yixing 'You better take care of him or else' vibes whenever the two groups would meet up. And Sungyeol? Well, he was even worse and Baekhyun couldn't help but be a bit jealous of how well Infinite seemed to care for each other, the group like family. 

EXO had their moments and he was sure that Jongdae would literally take a bullet for him, but EXO was nowhere near as close to being a family like Infinite was just yet, but they were slowly getting there. So while it to see how close the other group was, Baekhyun knew that EXO would get there one day. And with how close Infinite and EXO were getting, Baekhyun had another set of brothers that liked him enough, even when he was a little .

(Sungjong had gotten good at giving him the evil eye whenever he thought he was doing something wrong... But that was another story because while Sungjong may have been the maknae of Infinite, he was scary as hell and Baekhyun definitely didn't want to get on his bad side.) 

So giving Myungsoo a playful frown and an "I really hate you sometimes, you know that?" as he did so, he went back to impatiently waiting for Jaejoong to come out and greet them. Myungsoo chuckling at Baekhyun's words, unfazed by how sulky he sounded since he knew how bad Baekhyun could be when it came to his favorite idols and if this had been an SNSD concert, he probably would have been much worse than he was acting now, and pairing that with how much Myungsoo did get to see Jaejoong, it was slightly warrented that Baekhyun get a little jealous of him. Even though he really had no reason too since Woohyun was the one that actually got to see Jaejoong a lot more than he did.

Jaejoong just saw him as if he was a puppy or something... But Myungsoo didn't really realize that and thought that Jaejoong really liked him. (He did, but Myungsoo was that cute little, awkward puppy that you couldn't help but like even if you didn't try.)

Giving Baekhyun a cheeky smile back, he gave a simple "No you don't." before letting out a gasp when Jaejoong finally came out from one of the back rooms, the older man looking a bit tired, but overall happy, obviously feeling good about the concert he just had. 

Quickly remembering their manners, Myungsoo and Baekhyun quickly bowed, eyes lit with excitement as they did so, words tumbling from their mouths.

"Oh, hyung, the concert was so good and you were so awesome and you did so well and - and, it was just so awesome." 

While Baekhyun's words were even more intangible than that, "Sunbaenim, you were so awesome and the concert was great and I loved it and you were so awesome and you sing so well and oh my god, you were just amazing and I can't believe I'm here right now and oh my god, you were - you were - you were, just great and yeah, the concert was just really awesome and you were awesome and it was just filled with awesomeness. Seriously, Sunbaenim, you were so cool." 

Quite used to Myungsoo's statement, but more than a bit surprised by Baekhyun's, who kept on bowing as he spoke, looking kind of cute as he did so, Jaejoong couldn't help but smile at the two, gaze lingering on Baekhyun a bit while he did so. 

Greeting the two back, only to notice a few more stragglers in the back, Yixing, Minseok, and Luhan quickly greeting him when he had noticed, quite respectful in their approach, Jaejoong just gave them a small smile in return and asked how all of them were. Everyone was quick to answer him, only for Baekhyun and Myungsoo to go overboard once again, Baekhyun stuttering over his words and Myungsoo being the fanboy that he was.

(It was cute, don't get him wrong, but Myungsoo had the habit of being too much sometimes.) 

But Baekhyun on the other hand, eyes rimmed with dark eyeliner and wearing a jacket Jaejoong was sure that he had endorsed, he couldn't help but be taken by the shorter boy. The boy being rather cute, but not too cute in the sense like Myungsoo who made him feel as if he was going to get cavities, die from diabetes, and if he didn't give to some charity or something within the next twenty-four hours, he was going to be cursed. So being able to have such a cute fanboy that didn't make him want to go to the dentist anytime soon, he would be more than okay with having the other visit him from time to time. 

And it also didn't help that that Yixing guy behind Myungsoo was giving him an 'I only accept you because Myungsoo likes you' type look while his hand lingered at the younger boy's side, giving Myungsoo a loving look whenever Myungsoo looked back at him with a smile, glad that he was there.

It was kind of adorable and Jaejoong was definitely going to get Woohyun back for leaving that little tidbit of information out on their last friendly get together. Because as much as he thought of Myungsoo like a little brother or an overly, loving puppy he had, he liked being in the know when it came to his dongsaengs' lives, only if he had to punch someone in the face or two. Just like Heechul had liked to do as well, especially since they were of the few that actually were willing to fight back and not put up with the idol bull that would pop up from time to time. 

So giving Yixing a "Not going to do anything, he's all yours" type look to Yixing, Jaejoong quickly put his attention on Baekhyun, who was more than pleased at having Jaejoong's attention on him. And if Jaejoong thought he was cute earlier, the boy's smile that seemed to widen with every passing moment made him even more adorable.

Letting Baekhyun quickly fill the comfortable silence between the two of them with awkward but cute babbling, Jaejoong listening to the boy quite intently as he did so, finding the boy to be quite intriguing. Jaejoong just let Baekhyun talk and talk, coaxing conversation from him as the night continued on.

Myungsoo looking a little bit put out as he had slowly began to notice how great the two had hit it off as the hours wore on, Jaejoong actually able to laugh and smile rather easily with the other singer. Something that Jaejoong was never really able to do with him, despite how many times they had met. Myungsoo couldn't help but frown and feel kind of sad at the thought of Baekhyun being able to do what he wanted to do within minutes, but trying not to take it to heart since Jaejoong only got comfortable with so many people, Myungsoo just kind of pouted whenever he didn't think he would be noticed. 

Only for Luhan, Minseok, and Yixing to notice anyway because Myungsoo wasn't exactly stealth with his emotions, the former two giving Myungsoo soft looks and pats on the shoulder when Jaejoong and Baekhyun got particularly close, the two off in their own little world. While Yixing just pulled Myungsoo closer to him and rubbed his back, telling him that it would be okay and that Jaejoong didn't mean it.

But what else could it mean?

Especially since Jaejoong would throw his head back and laugh whenever Baekhyun got comfortable enough to tell some jokes, some that Sungjong would have probably kicked him in the balls for, but Jaejoong thought they were funny enough and was able to exchange some of his own.

So sighing into his hand and telling himself that he couldn't have everything and that it was okay if Jaejoong didn't get along with him like he seemed to do Baekhyun, Myungsoo just let Yixing keep him occupied, letting the older boy pull him into different conversations between him and the other two. Trying to forget what had happened for the time being, sad that he wasn't able to click with Jaejoong like Baekhyun was obviously able to do. 

While Baekhyun could only bask in Jaejoong's presence as Jaejoong couldn't help but think about how cool Baekhyun was when he wasn't acting all shy and too much of a fanboy around him. 

And when it became too late to continue what they were doing, the night almost bleeding until the early morning, Baekhyun was quite surprised when Jaejoong slipped his number and into his hand when Myungsoo and the others weren't looking. 

Unable to keep the shock and surprise off his face, Baekhyun couldn't help but mumble, "For me?" 

Giving Baekhyun a small grin, Jaejoong could only reply, "Yeah, you're cute and funny, and it would be such a waste to let a friendship like this go. Just don't tell Myungsoo about it, alright? He'll take it kind of badly and I don't need Woohyun giving me angry looks for making his favorite dongsaeng cry, okay?"

Nodding at Jaejoong's request, Baekhyun quickly gave him a goodbye with another bow, thanking him for the wonderful night. His words causing the other to laugh, before Jaejoong gave him his own small wave as he finally bid him farewell too, mouthing text me when his manager called for him so that they could go home, leaving Baekhyun alone for the first time that night. 

Grinning into his hand, Baekhyun could only look gleefully at the paper in front of him, Jaejoong's digits so clear that Baekhyun couldn't believe that something like this had just happened. But not wanting to question fate or whatever had led to him and Jaejoong hitting it off like they had, Baekhyun just gave a fist pump before pocketing the number, expecting to use it later when he wasn't in Myungsoo's presence. Heeding Jaejoong's warning, knowing that the older man was right and that it really didn't take a genius to figure out that Myungsoo would be devestated to learn that his favorite idol had given him his number instead, talking to him as if they had been friends for years instead of being looked at as if he was a child. 

Hearing a "Baekhyun-ah, we got to go~" from Minseok and the others who were waiting for him by the door, Baekhyun quickly ran over to where they were. Ignoring the frown that was on Myungsoo's face while Yixing could only silently whisper 'Don't mention anything, alright?' to him, Baekhyun just found himself nodding and forcing himself to speak about other things, managing to dodge whatever questions Myungsoo had for him whenever it came to Jaejoong, just able to keep quiet for the rest of the night.  

And if Myungsoo looked a lot more depressed than he usually did the next morning, mouth set in a pout, upset about the tweet that Jaejoong had just tweeted about last night, one of Yixing's sweaters looking a bit bigger than it usually did, Baekhyun tried not feel like crap.

And when Jaejoong would return the text that he had sent a couple hours later, asking him if he had wanted to hang out, Baekhyun tried not to feel even worse. 

But what Myungsoo didn't know wouldn't hurt him. 

Because he was sure that if Myungsoo had gotten Jaejoong's number last night and was asked to hang out as well, Myungsoo would have done the same. 

He was sure of it... 

Then why did he still feel like he was betraying a friend for doing such a thing?

But when Jaejoong smiled and laughed at his jokes and made him feel as if he was the coolest person in the world, Baekhyun knew that he wanted to hang out with Jaejoong again, despite the consequences. And if Jaejoong asked and texted and returned his calls, Baekhyun definitely wasn't going to stop whatever that it was that was going on between the two them, even if he probably should.

(And if Jongdae liked to give him that 'What the heck are you doing?' look or Sungjong looked as if he wanted to push him down a flight of stairs, the younger boy not taking lightly to the fact that his hyung was hurting and that it was stemming from Baekhyun's stemming relationship with Jaejoong. Baekhyun didn't know what to do... Probably never would, but it was Jaejoong and Baekhyun had always been weak against the older man, taken by him in many ways. And really, it wasn't his fault that Jaejoong liked him as much as he did.) 

Myungsoo would get over it. 

At least, eventually that is. 

[ A/N ] : Okay, that definitely took a different turn than where I wanted to head with it, but I think I kind of like this ending more. Even though it's kind of angsty and sad in a way and kind of gives the impression of a different type of friendship than what many usually write, I thought I would go with it and see what you all may think. Especially since Baekhyun is a character I struggle to write and I've never written Jaejoong in my life before, so if something seems a bit OOC, I apologize for that.
