"Hey ugly!" The little boy in front of Kibum yelled.

"What do you want?" He replied coldly.

"To tell you that you're ugly! It's bothering me."

"Stop it Kris! I'm not ugly. My best friend says I'm the most beautiful person

in the world."

"Does your best friend have eyes? Or are you lying? Who would want to be friends

with you?"

"Kibummie! My umma told me to bring over this ice cream!" Kibum heard Jonghyun

behind him, "Wait, what's going on?" He said, seeing tears form in his best

friend's eyes.

"Jjong, let's just go-"

"Are you the idiot who's friends with this ugly kid?" The little boy said,

interrupting Kibum.

"Excuse me? What did you just say about him?" Jonghyun said, fists clenching and

anger burning in his eyes.

"I just told him the truth," the boy said, stepping back upon seeing Jonghyun's

burning anger.

At those words, Kibum broke down and was now crying into his knees, sitting on

the park bench.

This drove Jonghyun over the edge. He took the ice cream his umma have to him

earlier and smashed it on Kris' hair. Kris, whose face was now covered in ice

cream, ran away crying. Jonghyun then turned his attention to Kibum who was

still crying on the bench. He quickly ran over to the small boy and sat beside

him. He wrapped his arms around  Kibum's waist and calmed him down. His sobs

gradually died down from JongHyun's soft, comforting words.

They say there silently for a few minutes, Kibum's face now buried in JongHyun's

shoulder. It was a small amount of time before Jonghyun tried to speak.

"Bummie, you know what he said isn't-"

"Jjongie, I want the truth. Is what you say about me true? Or is Kris right? Am

I really u-"

"No!"

Kibum was startled by Jonghyun's sudden outburst. Tears were beginning to build

up it Jonghyun's eyes now, before he began speaking again.

"It's... It's not true... I-it can't be true... It isn't." Jonghyun began,

"Kibum?" He said, facing the boy next to him.

"N-neh, hyung?"

"I promise."

"Promise..? What?"

"I promise you... That no matter what, I will always be your best friend, and I

will always be here for you. Do you trust me when I promise you this?"

Kibum just looked at his hyung, surprised at his words. He's is best friend, of

course he trusts him. Why would he need to ask?

"Of course hyung!"

"Promise me, now, that your trust me, and will always trust me."

"I-I promise hyung."

Jonghyun hugged him again, and they stayed there on THAT park bench.

"One more thing hyung," Kibum suddenly spoke up, breaking the silence.

"What is it Kibummie?"

"I love you, hyung."

"Minho hyung, if this is a joke, it's not funny," the small boy spoke again,

breaking Kibum out of his thoughts and looking around in a panic manner.

"Who's there?" He said again.

'He's already looked at me, why doesn't he acknowledge me? Can he not see me? Is

he... blind?' Kibum thought, excitedly. The boy is blind! He really shouldn't be

excited, it's a tragedy this happened to him, but he can't see Kibum! And if he

can't see him...

"Um, excuse me?" Kibum said to the blind boy.

"Who are you?"

"I'm... Key," he said, using that nickname, "it's very nice to meet you, I'm

sorry I startled you."

"I-It's okay. I'm Taemin!" He suddenly burst out with a smile and a bubbly

personality. He was actually really adorable.

"S-so.. Are you...-"

"Blind? Yes, unfortunately. But it's okay, you don't have to feel sorry for me,"

he said, his smile staying on his face. 'Wow, he's quite mature about his

situation,' Kibum thought to himself.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up."

"It's totally okay Key-ssi. I promise."

He sat on that park bench next to Taemin and talked to him for a while. Taemin

was 12, but skipped a grade, so he was in 8th grade. He had a passion for

dancing, and wasn't shy to show Kibum what he could do.

"Wow, you're so talented Taemin-ah!"

"Thanks Key hyung!" Taemin said, sitting back down next to Kibum. "Oh! I just

remembered something! Minho hyung is supposed to be back by now..." Taemin said,

looking sad.

"Who's Min-"

"Kibum-ssi?"

Kibum looked up at the owner of the voice that called his name. His eyes widened

and he froze.

'The boy from the bathroom'
