It was the day the rain poured

On that rainy day, we visited well

I sat in the corner at that café

I was looking for you to come during the rain

You arrived about ten minutes late. You were completely wet in the rain.

While scratching your soaked wet hair, you said,

What am I to you? I don’t know if me being here is important.

I didn’t understand what you said

I looked at you, but you didn’t look at me

You said

Let’s end this

Those words “let’s end this”

Was the last of your voice I’ve heard

He wants to call you, but at the same time there’s something stopping him from picking up the phone to dial the long-ago-memorized number.

When you’d called him yesterday, asking him to meet with you, you’d sounded fine enough, but there was something uneasy nagging at the back of Himchan’s mind and making his stomach churn (but then again, that might just be the coffee.)

Just when he’s about ready to run outside and go berserk, screaming your name in the rain, you burst through the glass doors, the tinkling of the bell tied to it breaking the silence of the tranquil store.

Your sneakers squeak as you make your way over to the table in the back, and Himchan’s brow furrows in a confused line; you’re soaking wet and your eyes are rimmed red.

“Are you okay?” he as
