The sun had set over the horizon giving notice that another day of hard work had come to an end. Clouds had cleared showing a sky that was a dusky orange with a hint of blue. Stars which seemed to magically appear began to blink and sparkly giving any being that looked up a sense of happiness and bewilderment.

But one being had decided to stray from these feelings of contempt and freedom with anger and hate. Their eyes piercing into the side of the great palace which covered the city in a shadow of despair but stood majestically, shining a golden yellow and brown, like nothing could ever stand in it way.
 
“Oppa, what are you doing out here?” a girl of about 5 asked, after entering the balcony where her elder brother had escaped to after dinner. After no reply the girl went behind her brother who was about to pull his khaki pants down until she was suddenly hauled upwards and into her brother arms, where he began to assault her little body with tickles emitting shrieks of laughter and happiness from the girl.

“I told you will get the tickle monster if you tried that again” he spoke while cradling the tickled abused body and entered the house.
 
“But oppa you didn’t hear me and you looked like you were deep thought about something. Is anything troubling you oppa?” the cradled girl whispered, still trying to regain her breath back.

“It’s a grown up thing so you don’t have to worry or think of it”

Quietly creeping into one of the smaller bedrooms of the house, where a few of the younger siblings of the family slept including the woken one is the males arms, he lowered her into her bed, adjusted the covers and pecked the girls forehead.

“You don’t need to worry about anything, Ok?” she nodded and he laughed at the cuteness of his younger sister. “Now go to sleep”

With those words, he left and entered his room which luckily he had for himself. Making his way to the balcony again he adjusted his tattered jumper and stepped into the chilly air of the night.
 
Taking the familiar spot, he stared at the said ‘great’ palace and thought like he did most nights. Always that one thought.
