The memory;

{ ✞ } Delusional screams.
The memory;

Hours had passed but Hyunseung was still lying in his bed, unable to fall asleep. Thoughts racing through his mind made his head ache but there was no strength in his body to get some painkillers and so he just let his eyes fall closed, hoping some sleep would help. But it didn't. Minutes passed and he felt the warmth of early sun tickle his skin just like he had felt the morning before but this time he wished it would stop. He wanted to stop the time, he wanted to turn it back. And somehow he managed to, at least in his mind. He chose to forget the fact that he was indeed going to sleep alone from that moment on, somehow he turned his brain off, forgetting everything that had happened. He deleted his feelings, his memories, just as if he was really going back in time.

"Hey, Hyori. I know you must be with her right now but I could really use some help. You see, I have no idea where my guys are and I need someone to drive me. I guess I couldn't get any sleep because of excitement," Hyunseung quickly spurted out, nervously trying to button the sleeves of his white shirt as he did so. He needed to look nice, it was his big day. Nothing could ruin that day, nothing. "Hyunseung," he heard a sigh and the woman seemed to hesitate a bit, as if she was trying to figure out what to do. But what was there to do? He knew she wouldn't leave him in trouble, he knew she'd come pick him up and so he just cut her off, asking her to be over in about an hour before ending the call.

The young man stood proudly in front of the mirror, admiring the way he looked in a tuxedo. He had always thought he looked more handsome in suits and tuxedos than in jeans and T-shirts and he was extremely happy of the seeming oppurtunity of showing it to Hyuna. His heartbeats became faster as he checked his watch excitedly, only half an hour to go. His gaze once again traveled over his slender body, making sure everything looked perfect. Faster and faster, it felt as it his heart was trying to win a race. But who was it racing?

The doorbell rang loudly, making Hyunseung gasp a bit as it had startled him quite a bit. Upon opening the door a sight of panting Hyori revealed itself to the boy and he couldn't help but chuckle. Though he was happy that the other had rushed there in so little time he couldn't help but wonder why exactly was she in such a hurry and why was she wearing casual clothes. Wasn't she supposed to wear a bridesmaid dress?

"Hyunseung," a soft voice spoke in between deep and slow breaths,"What exactly are you planning here? Why are you dressed like that?" Dark shadow of worry glistened in her tone as well as in her features, it was clear she was more confused than ever, more scared than ever. But Hyunseung just stared at her with wide eyes, his head fell slightly right as furrowed his brows, looking at Hyori as if she was a ghost. His lips failed to speak more than a slightly scared but mostly puzzled 'what' and the young woman just replied with a headshake. She took a step closer, and then another one, soon wrapping her arms tightly around the other and hugging him. She wasn't sure what else she should do, she didn't even know what she should say and so just a pathetic little 'sorry' fell from her lips. "What the hell are you talking about?" the male was almost yelling now, dying to know what was going on. "Hyuna's... Hyuna's gone," she spoke slowly, trying to keep her voice as calm and understandable as possible,"Didn't they call you, Hyunseung? She.. She got into an accident. She's gone now. I'm so sorry."

And once again Hyunseung felt his world tremble and fall into pieces. He felt cold and alone and the memories rushing back into his brain didn't make the feeling any better. It was only now he realized that his heart had been racing time, and it still was. He felt it clench, maybe even twist and it hurt so bad. Why was it happening to him? What had he done wrong? Questions circled in his mind and he couldn't answer any of them. He felt a cold stream running down his cheek just like it had done hours before and he felt himself run out of energy once again. Where was he headed? What was he going to do with his life? All he knew at that moment was that his legs couldn't carry him anymore and his arms couldn't hold onto Hyori anymore and so he fell, he fell hard right onto the cold hard floor. But he couldn't bring himself to care about the pain he felt due to the fall because the pain inside his heart was much more bigger, much more dominant. He saw the world spin around before his eyes fell closed ever so slowly and a loud high pitched scream was the last thing he was able to hear before losing consciousness.
