“It doesn’t matter, Yoona,” I tried to change the topic.
“No, Jess,” she told me. “It matters. You even gave him your ring.”
Frowning, he asked, “What ring?”
“Her ring that serves as tracking device so that we’d know if she’s safe,” Yoona explained.
“Yoona,” I tried calling her.
“This ring?” Suho asked and showed the ring dangling from his necklace.
“That’s the ring,” Yoona confirmed.
I groaned and said, “It doesn’t matter, okay? We’re here because of business.”
“But Jessica, you got to have reasons on why did you give him your ring,” she said.
Looking at her, so tired of her bombarding of questions, I sighed. “Fine, whatever. He saw who killed the old teacher.”
“He did?”
“What are you, deaf?” I asked, annoyed.
She then focused her attention to Suho. “Do you see his face around?”
Suho simply shook his head and uttered, “No. But if I could see him again, I’d be able to recognize. I was hiding that time because I was scared.”
“Why were you there?” I asked Suho.
He looked at me, stunned. Maybe he’s traumatized. Poor, boy. Then he beamed. “I was there for a consultation about my standing in class and I was shocked to witness with my own eyes who tortured him.”
Yoona and I sat on the bed. “He was tortured?” she asked.
He nodded. “But I didn’t see what he used to do so but it left dark circle marks on his flesh. That was so crude.”
