You adjusted the tie on your new uniform and pranced in front of the mirror. “Wow, the uniform’s so pretty!” You smiled in awe as you admired yourself. It had been quite some time since you wore a uniform, considering almost every school had rejected your application.
Well, it’s PAYBACK time.
You looked at your reflection and sighed. You had panda eyes from the restless night before where you tossed and turned in bed, wondering what the academy was and why they “recruited” you.
She walked down the stairs and out of the door.
Into a brand new school life.
You breathed in deeply. Was it just me, or is the air fresher today?
You grinned, feeling lightheaded.
While you were enjoying about 2 minutes of your self-proclaimed new life, your mom dragged you back into the house and made you eat your breakfast.
On the most important day of your life.
How frustrating.
After gobbling down your breakfast, you dashed to the door. “BYE!” You called out delightedly, waving frantically to your mom.
“Bye! Be careful! Have fun!”
Was it just you, or did you detect a hint of sadness and loneliness in her voice?
You rushed over and kissed her on the cheek quickly before leaving.
However, you failed to realize that your mom’s words possessed deeper meanings…
