[Niel, 17 years old]

Shi Yoon-sem: You're failing Ahn Daniel. I suggest a tutor. I'll have one of my smartest students teach you in the library during study hall.

Niel: But--

Shi Yoon: No buts. And please don't skip class anymore.

setting: library

 

Niel: I cannot believe I'm getting tutored.

Chorong: Yeah, well, believe it. Sit down. We'll start with Biology.

[1 Hour Later]

Chorong: See? You're smart after all.

Neil: Who said I wasn't smart? Are you calling me pabo? (smiles)

 Chorong: (laughs) No one. But if you just stop skipping maybe you won't fail.

Niel: Yeah, well...wait. What time is it?

Chorong: 5:09.

Niel: Aish~ I gotta go. (leaves)

setting: mansion

 

Chorong: I'm here. Is it me or is your house bigger?

Eunji: Oh, haha. Where have you been? Here. (hands Chorong a dress) Hurry. We're going to be late. Pali~!

(Chorong goes to change and comes back)

Chorong: Do I look fine?

Eunji: You look great. Now take off those goofy glasses. You do the makeup while I fix your hair.

Andy: Alright Niel. Get your camera ready.

Niel: Why do I even get this assignment? It's annoying.

Andy: Call it training to be a great photogrpaher. In the meantime, Chelsea's here. Take her picture.

(Chelsea comes in with her best friend millionaire Eunji. They pose and Niel takes pictures.)

Eunji: Oh, Chorong, they love you!

Chorong: Ani, they like Chelsea, not me.

Eunji: Like there's a difference!

Niel: Oh, yeah! I get it. I'm awesome!

Chorong: Sure you are. But we have to learn the next chapter.

Niel: Bo? You're ruining my glory? Cut me some slack.

Chorong: (sighs) All right. 

Niel: Oh, yeah. Chorong, I've been meaning to ask you. Have I met you before? I mean, before you tutored me.

Chorong: We're in the same class.

Niel: No. I've seen you somewhere else. You look familiar. 

Chorong: I don't think so. (looks away)

 

setting: studio

 

Chunji: Very good, Chelsea. Tilt your head to the right a little. Fantastic. That's a wrap.

(Chorong stands up and gets a drink of water. Niel walks in.)

Chunji: Niel! What's our up and coming photographer doing here?

Niel: I brought ddukbokki! I owe you, remember? 

(Chorong spits her water and tries to run off.)

Niel: Annyeong Chelsea.

(Chorong nods at him and leaves to go to the dressing room.)

setting: outside the studio

 

Chorong: Why didn't you warn me that Niel's here?

C.A.P: Sorry. I wanted ddukbokki, too. (munches happily on a ddukbokki)

Chorong: That's not the point!

C.A.P: Chorong, how long are you gonna keep the secret that you're Chelsea?

Chorong: As long as I can!

Niel: Chorong? What are you doing here?

Chorong: Oh, I was just on my way home and I stopped by the CD store. (points to the store across the street) [Good thing there was a CD store here.]

C.A.P: Oh, look! It's Hayoung and Changjo! Gotta go!

Chorong: [ANDWAE! C.A.P oppa!]

Changjo: Go away! (still holds a grudge)

Hayoung: Changjo!

Niel: C'mon. I'll walk you home.

Chorong: You really don't have to. 

Niel: Kenchanha. I got time.

  

Chorong: So what were you doing at the studio?

Niel: Oh. I'm friends with the photographer. See, I want to be a photographer one day. 

Chorong: Jongmal? What kind of pictures do you like to take?

Niel: I like to take pictures of people. Not those snobby models, but real people. I love seeing their expressions.

Chorong: (looks away) It is interesting to see their faces.

Niel: Yup. For example, (Chelsea turns and Niel takes her picture) Surprise! Beautiful.

Chorong: (blushes) Well, my house is right here. 

(They stand next to her house.)

Niel: All right then. (grins) I'll see you tomorrow.

Chorong: Do your homework.

Niel: Yes, ma'am.

 

setting: library

 

Chorong: Shi Yoon-sem showed me your grades today. You've improved.

Niel: All thanks to you. (smiles)

Chorong: Niel, that means you don't need me anymore.

Niel: Bo? But what if I fail? I need you. Don't be all Chelsea on me.

Chorong: Chelsea? 

Niel: Yeah, I saw her yesterday and I said hi, but she ignored me.

Chorong: I see. You don't like Chelsea. How can you not like her? Everyone's in love with her.

Niel: Well I'm not. I think she's snobby and thinks she's better than everybody else.

Chorong: Well, what kind of girl do  you like?

Niel: Someone smart, trustworthy, and down to earth. And someone who's pretty when she blushes. (looks at her)

Chorong: Perfectionist.

Niel: Hey now!

Chorong: (phone beeps) Oh no. I have to go. 

setting: club

 

[Of course. He doesn't like me. Chorong or Chelsea.]

Eunji: Chorong! Get up. You're depressing everyone. It's a party.

Chorong: No.

Eunji: C'mon. Let's dance. Jaebal?

Chorong: Nah. I'm going home. (takes coat and turns to leave)

Niel: Hm, I think that's enough pictures for now. 

(Chorong and Niel bump into each other.)

Niel: Chelsea. (catches her when she trips) Kenchanha?

Chorong: M--mianheyo. Gomawayo. (blushes) (runs off)

Niel: Chakaman... (runs after her and catches her arm) Chorong? Is that you?

Chorong: (doesn't look) Mianheyo, but I'm not Chorong.

Niel: Don't be silly. I know that blush anywhere. I know you're Chorong.

Chorong: How long have you known?

Niel: Since two minutes ago.

Chorong: Yeah, well, I guess I'm not trustworthy. I'm snobby and I think I'm better than everybody else.

Niel: Mianhe~ If I knew...

Chorong: It doesn't matter. I'm not your perfect girl.

Niel: Ani~ You're wrong. (hugs her) You're smart and trustworthy and down to earth. And, you have the most amazing blush in the world. 

Chorong: (cries and hugs Niel's arms)

Andy: Why did you make me give Niel this assignment again?

C.A.P: (smiles) Oh, I have my reasons. (glances at Niel and Chorong) At least this one didn't hurt.
