He had barely begun but at times he felt like he’d already lost.

He’d only just gotten his first step towards his dream (everyone had a dream, right?) but he’d already felt so defeated.

There was no outrunning the past.

Taeyong knows that now.

With his jaw clenched so tight it hurt, he’d gotten up from his seat in one swift motion, determined to hide from anything and everything until he could believe in the lie that it was possible to forget.

He’d undo the mistakes of the past if he could.

But he can’t.

And so he lets the nameless faces behind the thousands of keyboards crucify him for them.
