He exits the bedroom and is gradually greeted by the alluring fragrance of hot black coffee, mixed with the scent of what he can only guess as bacon being fried in a pan.  He blinks his eyes and stares at the expanse of Donghae’s small yet luxurious living room, pausing slightly at the thought of having been in that room for numerous times before yet never having the chance to gaze at it like he’s doing now. He takes in the fact that sunrays are also seeping through the cracks of the window, indicating the morning he used to never see whenever he was here a long time ago. A small, lazy smile appears on his lips. Old times, those were.

He takes quiet, light steps to the kitchen, halting and leaning by the door frame while he observes him move around. He didn’t bother with clothing just like him, both of them wearing only their boxers and nothing else. He stifles a cackle when he notices the way he walks awkwardly, biting his bottom lip as he makes a beeline towards where he stands. He wraps his arm around his waist upon reaching him, snuggling his face against the crook of his neck and breathing in the scent that is only Donghae.

He cackles but says nothing, finishing the dish he was preparing before he came in. He doesn’t mind, Hyukjae thinks, he is perfectly content in pressing soft kisses on his neck, his shoulders, his nape while his hands leave soft, feathery touches on the skin just above the band of his boxers. He chuckles when he hears him squeak, pressing his side a little harder like he did earlier and earning him a faint slap on his arm because of it. He rolls his eyes and takes the last piece of bacon off the pan and into the plate, turning off the stove and finally, finally, turning around to look at him.

Hyukjae greets Donghae with a huge, albeit sleepy, g
