<(Y/N)'s POV>

Eversince I became a solo trainee of SME, fans always come in my way.

They usually drag me and make it look like they want to kidnap me and kill me or they throw out beverages that I couldn't avoid.

I'I'm really close to other idols. But the really famous one that I'm close with is EXO'

Because of that statement, fans bashes me all around the world.

They just want EXO for themselves.

They only care for their wants.

But how about EXO's wants or I want?

Becoming an idol is very hard for me.

But should I give up my dream for something temporary?

I sighed as I thought of this things.

The bashing still continues as I have projects together with EXO.

Can I avoid it?

No I can't.

SME usually decides for me.

That's the reason why the word 'bashing' exist.

But if I want to avoid it, would I want to decline by SME's offer?

I would be glad to.

So that the fans will not be angry with me anymore.

I'm tired of being famous just because I was filled with fans' hatred.

"Hey, why are you crying?" a familiar voice said at my back.

I began to stop crying so that I can focus on talking with HIM.

"Nothing, I just miss home." I said as I wipe off my tears.

"Something tells me that it is not home. Something more on becoming an idol."

"Me? Cry over myself for being an idol? Sheesh, that's sheepish of me." I sniffed.

"Well, I think that's the reason why you're crying."

"Tao, trust me. It's not that." I tried to deny.

I may be bad in lying but I can make their heads think the other way around.

"Mind explaining this (Y/N)?" he showed me his phone with my weibo account with a lot of harsh words.

All are negatives. Not either one postive statement was said there.

Always hatred. Always hate. Always cold.

My back began to shiver as the tears came back again.

I just can't hold after crying over it.

"Why the heck do you have to show me that?" I asked him with a harsh hoarse voice because of crying about it a while ago.

"See.. You're so affected by this. I guess I have to stand out for you."

I was suddened by his words.

I held his arm and started to cry and plead to him.

"Please... Do what ever you want, just don't stand out for me."

"But why? Are you not glad that someone stood out for ----"

"It's because I'm afraid it might turn so bad than before! I'm afraid that they will turn their backs on me in a more harsh way than before!" I screamed for everyone's sake.

I feel like a weight from my shoulders was lifted.

I still can't control my tears as I remember everything the fans have done.

"Hey...." he called out on me.

I looked at him with a wushu stick within his grasp.

"What's that?" I asked again for the umpteenth time to him.

"Remember this wushu stick? It's the gift you gave me for my recent birthday, which is like last week. I guess you forgot something."

"What?"

"It's your birthday today. You should be smiling. Sadly, I only prepared a simple gift." Tao said as his eyes gazed on me.

"I'm not expecting gifts, okay?" I shrugged.

He suddenly knelt down and held my hand.

He placed my hand on the wushu stick he was holding a while ago.

"With this stick in our hands, we imply a new type of friendship in our relationship. I want us to be together. So I can stand beside you and protect you."

I was shocked by what he has said.

I've never expect a small gift such as this to be this BIG.

I simply nodded as an answer.

We hugged as a celebration.

~The next day~

I feel a bit heavy but something light within me carried me.

I looked through my phone to found out that I have like a hundred notification.

I saw reassuring words from my fans.

I read about two to three of them.

'Good thing Tao-ssi posted a new status or else we can't defend the idol we love.'

'We love you (Y/N) don't think that you don't have fans. We are here to protect you :). We hope you have more projects to come'

'Thank you Tao-ssi for posting a new status. We're here (Y/N). We will love you 'til the end :) Be proud of yourself. Don't let immature fans kill your dreams. Have a good future. Hope you'll have a concert soon.'

I was curious on what Tao said.

I really don't have a feeling about it but I do hope it's not that serious.

I looked at his account and guess what... I spoke too soon.

It's very serious.

Let me summarize it for you.

'Please stop doing this to (Y/N). She's also a person. It hurts me more than it hurts her. Please stop doing it. I love her so much that it sents thorns to my heart :'('

I read it while chuckling.

Though he's a bit joker all the time he can be serious sometimes.

I'm happy he's here with me.

I promise I won't let your efforts be put up to nothing.
