I could only imagine how Luhan and the others felt; if your crush across the classroom noticed your absence, if your friends went on with their lives as if you never existed, whether mom has gotten through another day with all those pitiful eyes staring at the back of her neck, or when dad will soon realize he doesn't have to rush through traffic at 2 p.m after work to drop you off at soccer practice anymore.

     But maybe it wasn't that simple for them. Maybe what they went through was scarier than death. But what's scarier is to be breathing, yelling, dancing, and yet being told, "You're dead". This is not your average vampire love story. They are not vampires, Chanyeol told me so.

     "How come you don't smile now?" I asked. His head tilted slightly as he pondered.

     "I forgot how to", he said simply.
