Description
Everyone have someone or something that always keeps and makes them continue going and trying their very best till they can finally be able to have a hold of that something or someone they can call their own. Might it be a cute stuff toy always wearing a smile on every alley and the corners of every shop. A dream, a goal that would someday be a future that would make or break you away from the person you are now. Or a certain someone that would become a source of your happiness and or sad to say your heartbreaks...if he or she would be worthy enough, would always be the number one question continously lying in between them.
You can always count stars but you can never stop Chasing Lights...
Foreword
For Choi Sooyoung, her bestfriend Jessica Jung has always been the light that is keeping her sane. She loves the blonde, the blonde admitted she loved her too. She confessed.. but we all know what happened. After the confession came the rejection and the depression. The blonde just called and as if her bestfriend's really punishing her for not confessing her feelings to her sooner, the blonde's taking her own precious time adding salts to her still freshly cut wounds.
"Taeyeon proposed to me last night!" said the excited blonde over the phone.
Ouch.
"We're getting married!"
Another ouch.
"I'm getting married! Sooyoung? Are you still there?"
Fcking multiple ouch. Goddamit! What's wrong with her bestfriend?
"Soo--"
"I'm still here. I'm happy for you and Taeyeon really."
No she's not. And Jessica knows it fckin real.
Crickets.
"Soo I'm sorry."
She chuckled loud enough for Jessica to hear. "Are you really?"
"Sooyoung look, I'm really sorry about last night. I shouldn't have told you any of that and just left."
Sooyoung sighed deeply. "You don't have to say sorry for anything Jessica. Just be happy alright? I'm hanging up now. Bye."
She didn't give Jessica any chance to say any word and just ended the call.
Her mind went blank for a moment before quickly came back to thinking. She have already decided.
From this time onwards, she would stop chasing Jessica. Her light.
Would stop chasing lights.
She was about to stand up from her bed, when her phone rings, indicating a call from someone. Sooyoung took the time to get it and her forehead crunched up slightly upon seeing who the caller was.
