He drank some water and cleared his throat.

Kris rubbed his face right when the waitress delivered their order.

“I love you. Don’t leave” Kris cut Zitao’s words, anticipated everything.

“You’ll engaged the day after tomorrow”

His gunkanmaki felt bitter now. He didn’t have an appetite anymore. How could it be?

“Those oldies prepared it. We don’t even know anything”

“I won’t be too naïve Kris. We aren’t meant to be” Zitao said sarcastically.

 “It just an engagement, not a wedding,”

“She’s just my soon-to-be-fiancée”

Zitao remained silent.

“You don’t know my feeling” ” The younger man said slowly.

“I don’t even know mine. But I know theirs”

A long quietness before Zitao broke it.

“What’s wrong about being gay?”

“Nobody likes gay”

“I know that”

 

 “I think you should be my affair forever”

With a blank face, Zitao answered “Are you crazy?”

“Nope. We should act like straight people. And I did”

“What?” Zitao blinked before he realized what did Kris say.

“I’m bi”

“You love Jessica?”

Kris’s pace came to a halt. He then looked at Zitao intensely.

“Let’s leave”

“Stop your curse-thingy. Some words are better left unsaid” Kris parked his car on the basement and slammed the door.

Zitao sighed and continued his words without any hesitation
