plot;

On the most basic level, this story is about a couple, Jongin and Kyungsoo, who are normal. They're peaceful, and they're in love, most of all. However, there are deeper levels to this entire story. I did not write this to be a love story, although the story itself is centered around the couple. What I wrote it to be is a layered tale of the couple. If you read between the lines, you'll see the huge amount of plot points I put in; Kyungsoo's unwillingness to change, Jongin's spontaneity, his struggle with right and wrong, and Kyungsoo's decision to trust Jongin or not. The story is about just that; trust.

This plot is truly driven by the characters, and I firmly believe that if I had removed any of the six (seven, if you include Baekhyun) main characters, this story would not have turned out the same way.

What actually happened is this:

Jongin was normal until he watched Sehun murder Taemin, and realized he liked it. It scared him because Jongin is really a very soft-hearted person. He found out that he has sociopathic tendencies, which most people use to simply label anyone with these tendencies as a "sociopath," no matter how they look at it. He became drawn into Sehun's world of insanity and violence due to his fear of being crazy. Sehun, meanwhile, doesn't really know why he kills, he simply does because he finds it fun. He likes seeing people hurting and making them squirm. That's his idea of normal.

It only escalated from there, Jongin never joining the violence, as all he needs to satisfy himself is to watch Sehun murder his victims. He kept telling himself how wrong it is, but just couldn't seem to break away from the never-ending circle of violence. That is, until he met Kyungsoo and began dating him.

He slowly started breaking away from Sehun then, skipping out on quite a good number of killings. Eventually, he saw that Kyungsoo was trying so hard to change himself for Jongin, despite his hatred for change, and Jongin realizes that he isn't doing anything to change. He regrets his choices and decides to turn himself in. At first, he was going to take responsibility for all the murders, but seeing Kyungsoo and hearing that he could possibly die frightened him, although Jongin does want to accept death as his punishment for what he did to others.

It's really very straight-forward from then on.

characters;

Do Kyungsoo; Kyungsoo is really your average hero. He's stubborn, hates the ideas of change and spontaniety, and very unwilling to break or bend in any situation, unless it has to do with Jongin. He becomes braver when he must do something to help Jongin because Jongin won't help himself. He is not self-sacrificial by nature, because the only person he would ever die for is Jongin. And he does not do this out of fear, like Luhan does for Sehun, but out of love. He doesn't know how to handle sudden changes, so everything he does is usually rationally thought out, but everything he does in this story is completely and totally driven by the love he holds for Jongin.

Kim Jongin; Jongin is unlike Sehun in the fact that even though he does display sociopathic tendencies, he still has a conscience. He knows right from wrong, but sometimes cannot help but ignore it. He feels proper emotions, including rage, guilt, sadness, happiness, and, most importantly, l

Chapter 4: I loved how realistic this story was to how people are in life. Life isn't ever clean cut, it's messy. I like how you address mental health, use law terms, and have emotional involvement. I didn't know what to expect from the ending but I'm pleasantly surprised. Thank you for writing this.
