I don't know how to describe the idea I came up with about 10 minutes ago (and I also don't really know what the main plot is going to be yet... I'm just going to write and see what comes out), so your description is the first paragraph XP 

They were always with you.  They were always there for you.  They cheered you up when you were sad.  They the calmed you down when you were angry.  No one could see them.  No one could hear them.  But they were there.  Everyone thought you were crazy.  You learned to never speak of them.  They were your comfort.  They were your friends.  And they were real.  You weren’t crazy, just special.  And not special as in special, but special as in you were different.  There were very few people that were like you, but you were the one they chose.  Their lives, their support, their advice, and their love.  

This is supposed to be a major fluff story, but for the idea i had, the beginning had to be really dark XD sorry about that... the first few paragraphs are REALLY dark, but itll get fluffy after that.
