we should break up

“we should break up,” sungyeol says one night over dinner.

“do you think there’s something in the soup? do you think the waiter spit it in?” woohyun says as he examines his soup by stirring it with a spoon.

“did you even hear me?” sungyeol sighs.

“yeah, you said we should break up,” woohyun answers matter-of-factly and then onto, “seriously, i think he spit in my soup.”

“so then yeah…” sungyeol pauses, “i guess, bye.”

“are you leaving?” woohyun looks up from his bowl and at sungyeol, “at least finish dinner, geez yeol.”

“i’m breaking up with you, woohyun. why do you think i called you out here?” sungyeol begins to stand, “seriously, man.”

“i don’t know, maybe to have dinner?” woohyun only crinkles his nose at the soup. “dude, i think he spit in my soup.”

“ugh,” sungyeol groans, “i’m leaving.”

---

sungyeol smiles at his cell phone when he receives a text from myungsoo; see you in ten, yeollie ^^

he doesn’t want to call it a date, but it feels like it when myungsoo had shyly asked him out and they had spent the entire night before texting until the early morning hours.

immediately as he hears the knocks on his door, he nearly jumps in surprise and speeds over to open the door but the person behind it is the person he’d least like to see right now.

“hey, yeol.” it’s woohyun and he’s dressed in a loose tank top with his collar bones exposed (darn those deep as pool collar bones) and he’s looking down at his phone as if he had just gotten done looking at the time.”

“what are you doing here?” sungyeol asks, eyebrows raised and trying to avoid those collar bones peeking out from the low cut of woohyun’s tank top.

the other shrugs his way in and slumps onto sungyeol’s living room couch, “i thought we could go see a movie tonight, there’s this new swimming one out and-”

“i’m going on a date tonight,” sungyeol immediately says.

“what?” woohyun furrows his brow, “yeol, that’s cheating. you can’t go on dates when you’re already dating me.”

sungyeol groans and runs his hands through his hair in frustration, “i broke up with you! not even twenty four hours ago!”

“no you didn’t,” woohyun laughs and his eyes crinkle up, “all you did was abruptly leave dinner, which by the way cost me so much just for some damn soup.”

“well then i’ll pay you back,” sungyeol sighs, “just leave. seriously, we broke up.”

“no,” woohyun says and then pulls his phone back out, “now come on, the movie starts soon.”

“i’m not going with you,” sungyeol stands firmly on his feet.

“god, you’re such a baby.” woohyun gets up from the couch and grabs sungyeol by the collar of his shirt, wrinkling the fabric under his hands.

“what are-”

before sungyeol finishes though, woohyun’s pulling him down by his collar and kissing sungyeol, kissing him the way he’s always done it. as experienced and straightforward as all his kisses have been. woohyun knows how to kiss sungyeol, he’s an expert on it after all. when he pulls away, sungyeol’s lips are already starting to swell and his eyes become glassy.

“are you going to stop whining now?”

“ugh,” sungyeol groans, “ off.”

“i can you off,” woohyun grins and sungyeol tries to push him away.

“we broke up!”

“no, i didn’t agree to it so we didn’t.”

“that makes no sense. almost all break ups aren’t mutual, you know.”

“well too bad cause i didn’t agree to it,” woohyun has sungyeol up against the wall now and is pressing their bodies together, nipping at sungyeol’s shoulder through his shirt, “besides, you couldn’t possibly stay away from me even if you tried.”

trying to keep his voice calm, sungyeol scoffs, “yeah right. you’re the one still glued to me.”

“and for perfect reasons, you’re irresistible!” woohyun nibbles more on sungyeol’s shoulder before leaning upward and breathing into his ear, “and so am i, right?”

sungyeol’s biggest weakness is the breathing of hot woohyun breath into his ear and so his knees can’t help but get all weak and jelly-like. he freaking hates woohyun.

“can i you off right now?” woohyun suddenly asks, lewd voice melting into sungyeol’s eardrum.

“i have a date in like, less than eight minutes.”

“i can get you to come in less than five.”

“ off.”

“i told you, i’ll you off.” woohyun winks at him and then his mouth is back on sungyeol’s, while his hand is busy ing sungyeol’s jeans and the other pulls at the hair on the backside of sungyeol’s nape.

woohyun’s mouth that eventually moves south onto sungyeol’s , gets him to come in six minutes, which to his credit is almost five. sungyeol’s a quivering mess when he comes into woohyun’s mouth (his lips are ridiculously swollen and red and sungyeol is always amazed when they get like that) and he lightly kicks the other’s thigh afterwards.

“do you really want to break up?” woohyun asks after he’s done wiping his mouth with the backside of his hand, “because i’ll still veto against it.”

“god,” sungyeol groans, “why do you even like me?”

he gets his answer in the form of woohyun caressing his hair and kissing his cheek. sungyeol figures woohyun only likes him for physical appearances and a good every now and then.

after a long moment though woohyun says, “let’s not break up.”

“why?” sungyeol can only further question, his mind drifting off to the moment that myungsoo will knock on his door in about two more minutes.

“cause i love you,” woohyun yawns and cuddles against sungyeol in a creepily domestic way, “i love spending time with you and making you laugh and seeing you get all hot and bothered over my collar bones. there really isn’t too much of a downside to it, really.”

sungyeol groans and knees woohyun’s side, “you should really be more affectionate this way then, idiot.”

“well you shouldn’t be making dates with waiters that spit into my soup!”

“hmmm,” sungyeol avoids woohyun’s gaze and looks at his ceiling, “you saw that?”

“saw him spit into my soup? of course not. i did however see him put the moves on you after you left the table though. very cocky bastard, that one.”

“hey, don’t say that about myungsoo. he’s very cute, alright.”

“cuter than me?” woohyun asks with his pouty lips and aegyo.

“you bet,” is sungyeol’s immediate answer.

“don’t go on a date with him then,” woohyun says, “even if it is just to get me jealous.”

“who said i did it to get you jealous! besides, it must have worked if you showed up here purposely wearing that god forsaken tank top.”

“yeol,” woohyun reasons with him, “we all know that you’re the one helplessly in love with me here, okay?”

“shut up, i hate you.”

“love you too.”

myungsoo texts an hour later saying he’s suddenly come down with the stomach flu and it must have been from this sandwich he had eaten for lunch, which of course just happens to be at the place that woohyun works at.
