The voices and noises I could deal with. The creaking of floor boards and sighs and whispers that echoed through walls. I may have even put up with the flashes of black and white, slowly forming into more discernible shapes over the past few days. The faces and sounds of laughter that almost sounded as though they were reaching my senses through a thin veil - that I could deal with. But now the veil had been lifted; laughter and squeals errupted in sudden bursts from all around me, black and white had been drenched with colour and the man that stood before me seemed so real I had lost all grasp on what was past and what was present.
