AUTHOR'S NOTE 

hmmmm… well this was my first Infinite Secret Santa.

Reading previous fics wasn’t actually helping me with my insecurity, my style of writing isn’t really marvelous to begin with.

This story is actually my 2nd story for this prompt, the first one was half done and it’s very cheesy (talk about incorporating idol athletics and gayo daejun, it’s crazy)

Well I was tempted to use Super Junior here, but decided that Shinee is far more similar to Infinite (Plus the fact that I adore Ongyu.)

I feel guilty though because I highlighted Jongyu more than the infinite pairs but I guess, Onew is such dear to me that I just can’t help it (I’m so sorry). And there was a nagging feeling to ship Taejong here because poor Sungjong is forever alone T.T

The pace was fast and I know it’s hurried but I end up to be a bit of a panic writer when I reach the 1.5K mark on the word count. And that’s not a valid reason I know. The tone was really fast and I am not sure why I was really hurrying this fic (and now I should’ve taken my time to fully deepen this story.)

Now the story is, like the title, typical in ways that it sounded like a cliché really. And the only conflict that I used was that of Sunggyu and Sungjong.

Out of the pairs, I loved writing the Yadong part. I kind of really got into making the two connected by one medium: Dance.

I prefer angsty fic but I do crack and fluff in a while. Highschool is something that screams fluff but I don’t know, maybe my mind wasn’t really working at the time of writing.

Hmmm.

Well it got me thinking, maybe I should write their stories individually, maybe deepen the characters and relay the back and forward stories. Though that’s just a lingering thought ~ ^^
