“Congratulations!” They make me sick. A dark hooded figure stood in the doorway, scowling at the happy faces in the penthouse.

“Yes, congratulations,” she mocked the voices.  All heads turned to the voice in the doorway.

“Kim Nara. W-what are you doing here?” She turned her attention to her cousin, also the mother of the baby celebrating her 100th since being born.

“How rude! Looks like she inherited that asset from her mother!” Nara’s so-called aunt looked at her with disgust. It took all of Nara’s willpower to not hit the lady.

“Why, I’m here to congratulate my dear niece on her 100th!” Nara exclaimed with a fake glee to her face. “Either I wasn’t sent an invitation or I came to crash an important party. I like to think the former though.”

“Nara, you shouldn’t be rude at such an event.” One of her guy cousins came towards her, trying to her out. However, before he had a chance to touch her arm to lead her out, Nara grabbed his hand and twisted it backwards. Her guy cousin screamed in pain. Deciding to end his torture, Nara kicked him, sending him falling to the floor.

“Next person to touch me dies,” Nara said with a deadly tone.

“Now, Nara. We shouldn’t be so rude when we are visiting.” A voice came from behind Nara. Nara moved to the side to reveal an old lady in a wheelchair escorted by a man in his 20’s. The appearance of the lady seemed to throw the whole room into chaos.

“G-grandma!”

Grandma rolled into the room. “It’s nice to see you again.” Her voice, weak and raspy, rang throughout the silent room. She was talking to everyone in the room. “I just dropped by to give my dear great-granddaughter a present for her 100th day.” The old woman gave Nara the present and motioned her to give to the newborn baby. “I shall take my leave now. Let’s go Minwoo,” she said to the man escorting her. Everyone in the room still didn’t seem to process what had just happened.

As Grandma left, Nara walked up to the mother of the baby.

“H-how is Grandma alive? She passed away from liver cancer two years ago!” Her cousin was able to utter out.

Nara took out a small, empty bottle from her pocket. “Amazing what one can do with tetrodotoxin. ” She waved the bottle in front of her cousin’s face. “You should know. You are after all, a doctor.”

“Tetrodotoxin? But that’s illegal!”

“Illegal?” Nara scoffed at the word. “That word isn’t in my dictionary.” She dropped the small, wrapped box along with the empty bottle to the floor. Without looking back, she left.

As she reached the first floor of the hotel lobby, Nara was greeted by a familiar face.

He looked at her with disapproval. “Are you sure you didn’t go too far?”

“Hmm,” she put her index finger to her chin, “I’m worried that I didn’t go far enough.”
