Foreword
This is something I've been posting over at YGL, so I decided to go ahead and post it here too. Hope you guys will like it.

He rode his bike on an endless road. When he came to the first fork on the road, he stopped. He took his cell phone out and texted:
Left or Right?
Moments later, his phone went off.
Right.
He put his phone back in the pocket of his hoodie. He turned his bike right and continued on. He kept his eyes steady ahead of him. He didn't notice the houses were beginning to turn to blazes of green grass. In the far distance he could see the sun was setting, he had only twenty minutes before the night settled in. He pedaled faster and faster, the cold air began to pick up, the sweat on his forehead instantly cooling down. His legs burned with each movement. He could feel his heart pound through his chest. He stopped at another fork in the road, two pathways made by people walking over and over on it. He pulled out his cell phone.
Left or right?
He waited until his phone went off again.
Right.
He wasn’t much farther now; he could feel he was close. He pedaled more until he finally reached his destination. She stood five feet away.He panted as he got off his bike and threw it down; he let it fall as he quickly made his way to her. He watched but did not get closer. His breath finally caught up as he gulped down the cold air.
“Why? Why did you ask me to come here?” he asked when his lungs finally allowed him too.
