Foreword

Suho

He paced in the living room and drew in a deep breath. Everything was planned. Candlelight dinner at a river cruise, a limo to pick her up and he patted his pocket. A shiny silver ring with an expensive chunk of diamonds on it. Not like it really affected him, he still had plenty more money for the wedding. If she said yes. Suddenly his phone rang and he picked it up quickly, careful to not sound nervous.

"Yeobo?" a soft voice cried on the other end.

"Jagi, are you okay?" Suho panicked.

"No, I'm fine. It's that my dad had to go for a surgery, because he's on call and there are no other surgeons so I have to take my little brother along for our date. Are you okay with that?"

Suho wanted to kick something, this night just keeps on getting more complicated.

"Of course, I like your little brother, he's really cute!" Suho lied.

"Ah, thank you. You're the best boyfriend ever. I'll give you a big hug when I see you later." she said.

"Just a hug?" Suho teased, chuckling.

She laughed, and replied, "I can't say anything because my little brother is here. XOXO, yeah?" she laughed again.

Suho laughed and bid her farewell, see you later. She was the one, definitely.

Kyungsoo

"Kai!" Kyungsoo screamed into the phone. The boy at the receiving end flinched, and grumpily replied, "What now?"

"What if the ring freezes in the panna cotta?"

"Panna cottas aren't supposed to be frozen, Kyunggie. Just relax. Put the ring in the ramekin, put it in the chiller and you go chill."

"Easy for you to say, you aren't proposing to your girlfriend."

Kai shut up, he was slightly offended.

"Sorry, did that hurt?" Kyungsoo deadpanned and hung up on Kai. He knew that Kai would forgive him, it was his nerves talking.

The doorbell chimed and Kyungsoo quickly dropped the heirloom ring into the ramekin and pushed it into the chiller. He wiped his hands on the apron and tore the apron of himself while running to the door and flung it outside the balcony. He knew it would land on the courtyard, where Tao was practicing his Wushu.

Sorry, Tao.

"Ah, you're here!" Kyungsoo beamed and led her in. She smiled and gave Kyungsoo a warm hug before stepping into the house, as she has done many times before.

"Smells nice, what did you cook this time?"

"I cooked up a surprise." Kyungsoo laughed and looked at her lovingly.

She chuckled and said, "I will cook for you the next time, I promise you. It might not taste as good-"

"- as your lips? I don't think anything can taste as good at it does."

Kyungsoo gave her a peck and he relaxed. This night would be just fine.

Chanyeol

"Kai, what if she doesn't find your puppies cute?"

Kai looked at Chanyeol, hurt. "My dogs are cute, to anyone. You would be deranged to say that my babies aren't adorable."

"Thanks for lending it to me, means a lot." Chanyeol mumbled as Monggu tried to sit on his face.

Kai smiled and left Chanyeol's apartment.

Chanyeol had attached a letter to Monggu, Jjanggu and Jjangah, love letters to his girlfriend. He would leave them with her and she would notice the letters tied on their necks and read it.

Then, he had tied the ring to Janggu, and he would bring Janggu to her and she would notice the ring and he would propose.

She was a vet, so Chanyeol hoped that she would love his proposal and let it be a story they would reminisce later on. That would be adorable. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. And then Jjanggu barked. Chanyeol cursed under his breath. The two men ran for cover.

The doorknob twisted and the door creaked open as she walked in. She smiled at Jjanggu and picked him up.

"Aww, so cute!" she gushed. Noticing the tag on his neck, she moved on to the other two dogs.

"Chanyeol?" she called out. "Yes, definitely."
