“Is there a story to uncover?”
Youngjae shrugged at the inquiry that had left Daehyun hanging on his every word. “I’m not sure, but his bones date back to the 15th century.”
A chivalrous time where rivaling kingdoms and war bathed the world in blood. It was a period where one’s family name, title and civic duty trumped what the heart couldn’t control - where love was considered as irrelevant as the peasants who served the princesses and princes arranged to be wed for the sake of their country.
“Do you think he’s a noble? Or maybe a king?” Daehyun had already started digging the earth that may have entomb the story he spent all morning searching for.
“I don’t know, Daehyun. But it wouldn’t hurt to find out.”
