The fork is midway to his mouth when he freezes. He just kind of stares at Sunggyu with a star-struck expression – you know, the one full of adoration and wonder. He knows he probably looks stupid as , but it doesn’t really register, because he’s hearing violins play and birds singing. He hears the jingle, and the sudden rush of wings – and wow, Sunggyu is really, really handsome. Woohyun wants to press his lips onto every inch of Sunggyu’s sweet skin…

  “Stop spacing out,” Sungjong snaps as he leans over to pass Sungyeol the salt. He looks thoroughly annoyed by Woohyun’s actions, Dongwoo seems quite lost (he always does, the poor guy never eats because of that) (he’s lucky to have Sungjong who remembers to feed him), and Sunggyu’s simply smiling at him.

  Then Sunggyu picks up the spoon he just used, picked up some rice from his bowl and raised it to Woohyun’s lips, as though it’s normal (yeah, actually it is, but it totally isn’t the point).

  “Ah,” Sunggyu says. Wordlessly, Woohyun chews on the food; his gaze never leaving the leader’s smile (is this indirect kissing?). This isn’t right. Woohyun shouldn’t be feeling like that –

  Damn it, the birds won’t stop singing and now he can’t concentrate.

  It hits him very quickly: he has got to do something about this – whatever this is. It certainly isn’t a crush. He knows how a crush feels like, and this isn’t it. The thing he has for Sunggyu feels much more, much deeper.

  He doesn’t like that.

  Because there’s a movie in his mind, playing and playing: he watches a passionate love forming, kissing in the rain, lazing on the couch, slow dancing… All in all, very enjoyable and absolutely terrifying. If there’s anything Woohyun knows about this industry that they’re working in, being together-together with your band mate of all people is a huge, huge thing.

  Firstly, it will cause a big scandal. They're both guys, after all. Secondly, the consequences could be horrible; if they broke up, Infinite’s relationship will crumble. So, yeah. Not good.

  He needs a plan – but he isn’t known as the planner in Infinite. That will be Sunggyu, and enlisting his help will definitely go over well since their leader finds the need to know every single thing about their lives.

  “I need to learn how to get over someone.”

  “What why? Who is it? Do I know them?”

  “Uh, I can’t tell you?”

  And then there’ll be a long discussion, which will most likely end up with Woohyun confessing and Sunggyu bluntly rejecting him. He says "bluntly" because as nice as Sunggyu acts, he never puts himself down for someone else. Sunggyu has pride, and Woohyun supposes that’s one thing he likes about the other.

  He also admires the way Sunggyu speaks, his voice sweet and, at times, rough. He appreciates the way Sunggyu holds his hand, warm around Woohyun’s. He likes it when – well, basically he really likes Sunggyu and that’s a problem.

  Woohyun sighs, staring up at the dark ceiling from his bed, listening to the way Myungsoo breathes (no, they don’t share a room, but he knows Myungsoo won’t bother him with questions like how the rest will so he decides to stay with him). Obviously, he can’t allow this to continue, and he wants it done before the dawn (get it?) (he thinks he’s the funniest member no matter what everyone else says).

  His eyes travel over the humongous bookcase Myungsoo keeps and – ooh! That’s cool actually: 10 Ways to Live Forever. Preventing himself from falling in love – falling even more in love – is pretty much the same as being immortal, so it should work. Right?

  Woohyun pads over to Myungsoo’s desk, carefully tearing off a page of a notebook.

I really hope I can actually continue this because look at all my chaptered fics. But! I thought I needed to experiment with a new style of writing because the angst-sad/bitter thing wasn't working very well with me. I just thought of this so, uh. Yeah.
