I was 18 years old and fresh out of high school. Ready to become independent(and finally get the hell away from my family) I moved to Los Angeles, the City of Dreams. At a very young age I wished to be a singer but as I grew older so did the hate for my own voice. I never sang, not in front of my friends, family or even alone by myself so I tossed that dream of mine behind me and didn't look back. Then one day when I was 16, I thought about the precious dream of mine I once had and made the decision to dig it up and resurrect it. Time had past since I first dreamt it and now I had become a 16 year old girl swimming deep in the ocean of K-pop, it was the only music I listened to, I was so immersed in the style and I could never see myself in the horrifying American entertainment industry. It had to be South Korea, I wouldn't settle for anything else. I begged my family for dance and vocal lessons and spent the next two years devoted to improving my abilities, never telling my family or friends what I was planning. Now 18, and having sucessfully moved to LA, I was ready to put my dreams in action. While my family goes on with their everyday lives thinkiing I am studing at UCLA, I'm busy deceiving them to prepare to attend the audition that would soon change my life and get me one step closer to fufilling my dream...becoming a K-pop idol.
