Until it snows in August

Until it snows in August

"No! Jay, I'm sorry! Don't !"

"Jay! L-Let's try to fix this!"

Their voices rang behind him, he didn't care though, they both had just betrayed him, the man he loved and his best friend... both of them, just betrayed him.

How could they? Mika said he loved him! Him and only him! He said they'd be together forever, Suhoon held him when he cried during the earthquake in Japan, and said he would always be there! They promised they'd always be there for each other and then, then Karam just went and confessed to him, and suddenly, Mika loves him too ?

Jay's heart just couldn't take it, so he ran out.

Where was he going to go? He wasn't sure of that, but he knew that he wasn't going to look back anytime soon, the boy didn't need them, he didn't want them either, and it appeared, they didn't need or want him either. Jay couldn't say that Injoon or Hyunmin felt the same, but he really didn't care at the moment, he just wanted it all to be gone, he just wanted to be laying in bed with Mika again, cuddling and exchanging quiet, loving words just like they use to, why did that have to end?

Tears stung Jay's eyes, as he remembered looking into those deep, beautiful brown eyes that the elder one usually hid with blue contact lenses, why he did that Jay was never sure, but he truly loved Mika's eyes. Shaking his head of these thoughts, Jay continued to run still not sure where he was going, but he didn't care either, after all anywhere was better than where he had been. Panting, Jay finally stopped in his tracks, the tears were blurring his vision, he couldn't run anymore.

"Lee Suhoon... You... You !"

- - - - - -

"Hyunmin, you jerk! Get out of my sight!"
"What did I do?"
"You ripped my comic book!"
"Oh, I'm so sorry. It's piece of paper, tape it."
"This is a one of a kind!"
"Yeah, so am I."
"Uggh."

"Would you two shut up?" Mika snapped at Karam and Hyunmin, leaning back in his chair and flipping the page of his book, all with a straight face.
"Sorry, hyung." They muttered apologetically before getting up and leaving, only to be replaced by Jay and Injoon, who both felt the need to play a video game, at the highest possible volume.
"Is it ever silent in here?" Mika sighed, closing his book and getting out of the chair,
"Huh? Did you say something?" Injoon asked, turning his head to face his leader with a wide smile. Jay avoided looking at Mika, whenever he saw the elder male, his heart wanted to jump out of his chest,
"No smart comments, maknae?" The elder asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Uhh.." Jay bit down on his lip, "Nope?"
"Are you sick?" Injoon asked, blinking his eyes
"Nope! I'm fine! But I've got homework to do!" With that Jay practically ran out of the room,
"Since when does he do homework?" Injoon asked with a worried tone.

At this point, tears were falling out of Jay's eyes like rain from a cloud. He had found himself a bench to lay on and cry, why did this have to happen to him ? Why did he have to catch the man he loved, cheating on him with his best friend?! Why did it have to hurt so bad?

"I... I hate you ..." The young boy sobbed, his hands covering his face. Jay was sure that people in the park were staring at him, curious to know why the boy was crying, in fact, one little girl had pointed at him and asked her mother why he was so sad, and if she could give him her teddy bear to cheer him up, but the mother just shushed the child and continued walking like he was some freak.

Again, Jay couldn't help but sob out a curse word as thoughts of Mika creeped in again, he had given Mika everything! His first kiss, his first date ... Hell, Mika even had his ity ! And the older male just tossed it all away, did he ever actually mean it when he said he loved Jay? Had that been a lie all along?

- - - - - -

They shared a passionate kiss for the first time ever, Jay didn't see fireworks, or feel sparks, in fact it was better than that. It felt like he was walking on air, as if he could do anything, he was willing to do anything for Mika, he would drop dead if that was what Mika requested.

"Lee Suhoon... I'm... I'm in love with you." Jay whispered as their lips parted. A smile came upon Mika's lips,
"I know you are... And I love you too, Jeon Jihwan." The older male whispered, before pinning Jay against the wall and pressing his lips to Jay's neck.
"A-Ah ! Mika," Jay moaned, his fingers entangling themselves in Mika's hair,
"Jay... I want you." Mika whispered into the younger one's ear.
"Mika... I... I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm ready for that... We just got together last week..." Jay said softly,
"I'll wait then, just know that your mine now."

And with that, Mika left Jay alone in the room.
"I was always yours, Suhoon."

More tears escaped Jay's eyes, this time it he was sobbing heavily as well. What were Karam and Mika doing right now? Were they kissing? Were they holding hands? Was Mika saying that he loved Karam more then anything? Were... Were they in bed together? Sharing the same passion that Jay and Mika had once shared?
"I hope you're happy, Mika..." Jay muttered, wiping the tears from his cheeks, though they still continued to fall. He had come to a sitting position now, and wasn't quite sure what to do with himself. Looking up at the sky, Jay couldn't help but to feel the summer's heat, though, one thing came into his mind.

"I'll love you until the white snow falls on a summer's day... Well, Mika... Where's the snow?" Jay chuckled bitterly at his bad joke, and looked down at the grass.

"Are you using the same cheesy lines on Karam right now?"

- - - - - -

They had been dating for a little over two months now, and Jay was more then happy, he had the boy that he had loved from the beginning, the one with the beautiful, almost black hair, the one that had beautiful brown eyes but hid them behind blue contacts.

He had Lee Suhoon, and they both belonged to each other, and only saw each other. They weren't afraid to tell the other members of DGNA that they were together, all of them had been happy for the duo, glad that they had finally gotten together.

Finally, Jay had allowed Mika to take them to the next level.

"Jay... Are you ready yet?" Mika asked, he had their foreheads pressed together, Jay was pinned to the wall again, and they had just shared an intense make - out session.

"Y-Yes, Mika... I'm ready." Jay said softly, only to get a questioning look from Mika,

"If you really don't want this, I won't force it." The elder said, bring one of his hands up and placing it on Jay's cheek lovingly,

"I want to do it, Mika." The maknae reassured his leader, without any further questioning, Mika began to kiss Jay passionately again, this time slipping in his tongue. Jay returned the kiss, just as eager as Mika, wanting to show the other one that he wasn't as innocent as all of them thought.

Pushing Mika onto the bed, Jay straddled his hips, with a grin on his face. He wanted to be closer to Mika, he wanted them to be one.

The rest of the night, was pure bliss, filled with passion and love.

- - - - - -

"Are you asking Karam if he's ready?" Jay asked quietly, the tears had come to a halt, but the pain was still too much to bare, more tears slipped out of Jay's eyes.

"Why is this so painful?" He thought out - loud, covering his face with his hands, he wished someone would just cut his heart out of his chest already, then maybe he wouldn't have to deal with this heartbreak anymore. Hiccups were coming from the boy rather then sobs, he was more then done with crying, but he just couldn't find the willpower to make them stop.

The worst part of this all was, if Mika came back to him, begging for a second chance, Jay knew that he would take the boy back instantly, without a second thought. Jay knew that if Mika came there, and got on his knees, pleading for Jay to come back, the maknae wouldn't get up and walk away, he would fall to the ground and hug Mika, cry on his shoulder and tell him how much he loved him.

No wait, that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was, Jay was painfully aware that it wasn't going to happen, this wasn't a movie, this wasn't a cheesy fairy-tale and Mika wasn't Prince Charming. In fact, Jay was sure that the leader wasn't even thinking about Jay, he was probably too busy with Karam, there wasn't any room for any thoughts about Jeon Jihwan.

He really should have seen it coming, there were signs that Mika had been losing interest in him, maybe if he had paid closer attention, he would be the one sitting with the leader right now, if he had realized it earlier, he would still be the one saying "I love you." To Mika.

- - - - - -

"I love you." Jay said with a great big grin, as he sat in the front seat of the car, holding Mika's hand

"Do we really know what love is?" Mika stated, looking out the window, clearly not interested in Jay.

"Of course, it's what we have, isn't it?"

"What do you think love is?"

"It's when you'd give up anything to be by that person, you'll die for them if you have to. Love is when you can't imagine a life without that person, when... when they truly have your heart and you don't ever want them to give it back. Love is like, what Ariel did for her Prince, she gave up her voice so she could walk on land and be with him."

"But, we aren't in a book, is isn't a fairy tale."

"Yes, but I still think your my prince. I'd die for you Mika, I'd give up my life for you... I'd throw everything away if it meant I could stay by your side."

"I'd rather die then not have you by my side, Jay."

- - - - - -

The male let out a long sigh as he stood up and shoved his hands into his pockets.

"I'm not by your side Mika, are you dying right now? Do I have to give up everything, to prove that you and I are just meant to be?" He asked himself as he kicked a rock down the sidewalk, the day was oddly silent. It was as if the world knew that Jihwan had just had his heart broken, and wanted to give him some quiet time to think about things.

"I wish things were a fairy tale, then you'd be my Prince, and I'd be your Cinderella... only, in our fairy tale, Cinderella would have still been stuck at home, no fairy godmother or pretty dress, and one of her step-sisters would get to be with Prince Charming." Jay growled, kicking the rock as hard as he could and watching it go flying off into the world.

Why did he ever think that a wonderful, cool, sweet, kind and caring man, could love him back?

- - - - - -

Jay opened the door, kicked off his shoes and dropped his backpack at the door, he had come home early because his last class was a study block and he really didn't need it. Quickly pulling a piece of paper out of the bag, the maknae ran to Mika's room, only to find the door closed. Shrugging it off as nothing more then Mika taking a nap, or reading, Jay opened the door without knocking.

"Hyung! Hyung! Look, I got an A on my test! Can we celebrate -" He stopped in mid-sentence, staring at the scene before him. If it was possible, Jay's jaw would be on the floor right now.

"Jay! It's... It's not what it looks like!" Mika had pulled away from Karam, his lips were bruised and his shirt was half undone.

"J-Jay !" Karam gasped, pulling away from Mika as well. Tears swelled up in Jay's eyes, he was in pure shock, he had noting to say, so he just his heel and ran,

"No! Jay! I'm sorry! Don't!"

"Jay! L-Let's try to fix this, I..."

- - - - - -

"This isn't a movie, a story, or a fairy tale, it's reality... reality ." Jay sighed, somehow he had found himself sitting at a bench again, in a different park.

"Ji-Jihwan !" He knew that voice too well, much, much to well.

"Where's Karam?" Jay hissed, expecting to hear the other boys voice as well.

"At home."

"Why aren't you with him?" There was pure bitterness in Jay's voice. Mika placed a hand on his shoulder, but he coldly brushed it off.

"Do you love me?" He asked,

"Maybe."

"Even after all that ?"

Jay took a deep breath and nodded,

"I told you, I'd love you until the end... You said you'd love me until the white snow fell on a summer's day... Where's the snow Mika?" Jay spat.

"It's not going to snow anytime soon."

"So you lied."

"No, I still love you, I never stopped loving you."

"Why were you kissing Karam ?"

"It was nothing but lust. You never know what you have till you lose it."

"Well, you lost me."

"I really should ask this, but... Can I get a second chance?"

"Why do you deserve one ?"

Their conversation came to an end, as Mika came around and knelt down in front of Jay. The maknae could see his leaders eyes were clouded with tears, that he wasn't ready to let fall.

"I don't deserve one, but I'm sorry Jay. I love you and only you, and I will until the end, I don't care what I have to do to prove this to you, but your my world Jeon Jihwan."

"Who says I still want to be with you?" Jay growled.

"No one."

He couldn't take it anymore, he couldn't take looking in those eyes anymore. Standing up, Jay walked away from Mika, he felt a stab in his heart, but he could get over it. Jay felt something, or rather, someone grab his wrist, and turn him around. Their lips met in a passionate kiss, it took awhile but Jay returned it, his arms wrapping around Mika's neck, and Mika's arms wrapping around his waist.

Finally, they pulled away from each other.

"I shouldn't forgive you,"

"But you do?"

"The day it snow's in August, is the day I'll stop loving you, Lee Suhoon."
