She sat in silence, watching the boy before her. Her heart ached as she watched him, but there was nothing she could do.

He sat alone in his bathroom, crying, knowing he could be seen by her. Knowing his weakness was apparent in every shape and form before her.

"I'm always sad noona.." 

This was not how their friendship was. They were always happy, forever cheerful. This was not her Lee Howon. But she always knew the pain he carried and tried to help him forget. Tried to be as crazy as she possibly could, because if he found out she was just as sad, it would hurt him. Well, she hoped it would affect him in a way. 

She loved him. But you don't love your bestfriend, you just don't. She sighed and looked over him as she whispered "But I love you anyways"  the saddest part was that her boyfriend knew about this. He knew she was in love with this sad, lonely boy. And he took it because he loved her so blindly, he looked over everything that was wrong. The fact that she never defended him, the fact that her late nights at work were her escape into a stranger's home as she frantically tried to forget that she was taken by him. How could they be married when her heart was with this younger man, still baffles me. But she stuck to this nice guy with a sense of ownership that was borderline obsessive.

I don't judge her, she was younger then, and now she is happier with another man, but she still thinks about that sad, lonely boy with the boxy smile and a heart that was just too trusting.
