Jessica stood across the street on a bus bench, watching as a young brunette took out her keys and open the front door to the house opposite, the seething anger that she thought had abated struck her like an arrow and rose up in her with such a force Jessica’s vision went fuzzy. Unconsciously she tighten her grip on the kitchen knife she clutched in her left hand, she felt her satisfaction of finally being here coat her soul; this was it what she had waited over eight months to accomplish, to finish. Jessica felt no hesitation as she walked across the road and down the short path way to the front door of number seven Insadong Street. She didn’t wait, she didn’t knock or speak as she walked through the door, enough waiting had been done this wasn’t about talking, or making sense of the things that had happened this was about delivering the offering she deserved to witness. Jessica saw Taeyeon standing in the kitchen putting on the kettle, she looked so warm so lovely, but Jessica knew differently this woman had broken her, snapped her heart, and left her for nothing when she had given everything. Taeyeon spun around just in time to catch a glimpse of Jessica’s eyes before she cuddled Taeyeon into a tight embrace from behind, the knife at her neck.
“Don’t speak, don’t scream” Taeyeon’s breath had left her and she wasn’t remembering to breath, finally after a few seconds she took in a lung full of air. Jessica guided herself and Taeyeon around the kitchen counter and into the living room closing the door behind her.
