Final

Perfectionist

The both of them were shopping when they first met.

Howon was attempting to grocer on his own while Dongwoo just went out of the department store.

They both bumped into each other and exchanged apologies - not one of them looked at the other.

It was until later when Howon arrived in the grocery store that he attempted to look back - trying to look for the one who bumped into him - but only in vain because Dongwoo was already swallowed by the swarm of people

The second time they met was when Howon was fetching his godson.

Dongwoo was Sungjong's (Howon's godson and the son of his best friend Sunggyu) dance instructor and was the one who kept Sungjong company while waiting for Howon.

Howon arrived a little late - he came straight out of a meeting - and he didn't even went out of the car. He just honked to signal his arrival and this caught Sungjong's attention and he squealed in a very high pitched voice - that made Dongwoo cringe - before running towards the car.

Sungjong turned back to Dongwoo when he arrived to the car and cheerfully waved in goodbye to him - in which Dongwoo returned with the same vigor - before Sungjong climbed unto the front seat and the car immediately rode off after.

Dongwoo could only follow the car with his eyes as he saw it getting smaller and smaller. A part of him disappointed that he didn't see the person Sungjong held in high regard.

But he only shrugged it off - he remembered Sungjong telling him that his uncle was a CEO of a big company and is very busy.

But there was still a nagging feeling deep inside Dongwoo that he couldn't understand.

Little did Dongwoo know was that Howon had seen him.

But not clearly because his windows were tinted and there was a great distance between them.

But despite all that, it still managed to make Howon's heart beat a little faster for a second before it disappeared - leaving Howon in a confusion and panic because what if that was the signs for heart attack? Sunggyu and Woohyun likes to tease the poor guy because he's all work and no play while Howon retorted that the couple on the other hand was all play and less work. It was safe to say the couple left earlier than planned with the excuse of Sungjong calling them - much to Howon's relief

Well at least that's what Howon thought. Because the minute Dongwoo waved in goodbye to Sungjong with that wide smile of his, Howon's heart started to beat abnormally again.

And Howon didn't even notice it. Too mesmerized by the older's glowing face to even notice Sungjong was already in the car looking at him worriedly.

Howon couldn't help but blush and hurriedly rode out the school when Sungjong asked him what's wrong.

They officially met on Sungjong's birthday.

Sungjong finally introduced his uncle to Dongwoo and was very exited to meet him only to embarrassingly gawk at the man in front of him.

Howon was wearing a white button up shirt that hugged his body in all the right places and he paired it off with black slacks.

Dongwoo imagined someone haggard looking - because Sungjong told him his uncle barely had any sleep because of his work - and never in his life did he imagined Songjong's uncle to be this breathtaking.

Dongwoo was too busy gawking at Howon that he didn't notice that Howon was also looking at him in the same way.

Dongwoo didn't notice but Woohyun sure did. Woohyun smiled to himself before taking Sungjong away from the two staring men.

"I wanna spend time with Dongwoo-hyung Umma!" Sungjong exclaimed but Woohyun only shushed him - and also decided to ignore how Sungjong called him Umma instead of Appa - and led him to his group of friends - which worked because Sungjong immediately forgot what he was even planning earlier with Dongwoo when Sungyeol started an embarrassing story about Myungsoo.

To cut a long (and painfully awkward) story short, two men happily went home that night with one more extra number on their phonebook and a promise for lunch tomorrow.

Two months had pass and Howon and Dongwoo was still going out. They were dating - yes, (Howon made that clear during their 4th date) - but they were not officially dating. And that bothered Howon a lot... but he would not say that out loud.

So he seeked the advice of Dongwoo's best friend - Woohyun. But the bastard only laughed at him when he told him he thinks Dongwoo was the one. Leaving only a mysterious "We'll see about that soon~" before hurrying towards the door to greet Sunggyu from work.

It wasn't a week when Howon found out.

He was dropping Dongwoo home - like he always does after every date - and it was getting late. So Dongwoo offered for him to stay the night. Howon wanted to object - because he is a big figure in the business world and there is a possibility the paparazzi might get a whiff of this - but when he saw Dongwoo's dejected expression - which sent arrows right to his heart... ouch... - he immediately changed his mind. Regretting nothing as nothing is much more important than Dongwoo's happiness man he has fallen too deep. But man did he regret when he saw Dongwoo's apartment.

Dongwoo already warned him when he said his house is a little messy but to Howon's perceptive - messy doesn't even begin to describe it.

There were clothes thrown haphazardly on the floor. The floor looked like it hasn't been swept for years - and Howon wasn't exaggerating - he's and expert on this, being a perfectionist and neat freak and all. The couch was already dark in color due the many substances that was spilled over there - and don't get Howon started in the kitchen. It was so disgusting Howon can't even bare looking at it.

"What's wrong?" Dongwoo asked worriedly. Howon stared at him like he was from an another planet before bolting out of the house - not even bothering on saying goodbye and immediately riding off Dongwoo's front lawn - leaving Dongwoo standing there in his door - crying.

Its been a week since that incident happened. And - he must confess - Howon wasn't able to think of anything other than Dongwoo and the possibility not really, but Howon was in denial that he made Dongwoo cry.

How did he find out?

Easy

The next day after Howon bolted out of Dongwoo's house, Woohyun stormed through his office the first thing in the morning screaming profanities at him for making Dongwoo cry. Sunggyu - who had a dissapointed face - had to restrain Woohyun from trying to kill him (to which he is very thankful because Woohyun's muscles aren't only for display) and even until now the older was still sulking (from being restrained on pounding Howon - please don't misunderstand) and still refused to talk to him. Saying "Don't apologize to me but to Dongwoo." when he attempted to apologize.

But that's the thing. He can't apologize to Dongwoo because - if before he was sure about his feelings for the older man - now he is having doubts.

He finally growed a pair when - after his mother father - Sungjong was the one who came to his office. But unlike his mother father did - Sungjong was bawling hard. Pounding on his chest with all his might (which wasn't much since Sungjong was very skinny and kind of a wimp a very y one that is) and saying something along the lines of punishing him for making his Dongwoo-hyung cry and how Dongwoo didn't show up in school anymore... wait what?

When Howon heard the last part, he immediately left his office - hurrying over her secretary to cancel all of his apointments and leaving Sungjong on his office still crying but now ing at him for not letting him finish his rant - all of which Howon didn't care because damnit what if something bad happened to Dongwoo!? Howon could never forgive himself if that happened to his ball of sunshine.

Turns out Dongwoo only caught a cold. But what added to Howon's guilt was when Dongwoo only smiled brightly at him before saying something about he thought Howon was mad at him that made him cry all night (and the next day) long... which led him to catching a flu. Dongwoo even blamed himself for the reason why Howon didn't contact him for the week - it was because Dongwoo didn't contact him first and Howon couldn't help but think it was all bull since Howon was clearly avoiding him.

God, how can Howon leave this selfless man alone? More importantly how did Dongwoo managed to live until now?

But Howon didn't really dwell on the second question since he is thankful Dongwoo was still alive and managed to come to him.

Howon forced Dongwoo to lay down on his bed and rest while he cooks something for him and also clean this pigsty of a place while he's at it, no wonder Dongwoo caught a cold here. When Howon looked at the living room again to asses the damage done what? a storm might've hit Dongwoo's living room by how messy his house was. But Howon noticed it wasn't as messy as it looked like a week ago - it actually looks presentable right now. (Except the kitchen. It still looked like what it did before - maybe even worst - Howon could see molds growing on the walls).

Howon sighed once again. Starting to get to work before once again wondering how he could leave Dongwoo again.

But all of that happened in the past and now - three years later - Howon's and Dongwoo's relationship was still on and going strong. Howon smiled at that thought before opening the door to their house - they moved in after the first year of their relationship - Howon didn't trust Dongwoo anymore to live by himself which made the older pout at him and Howon fighting with all of his might to say no. Howon just came back from a three day business trip to China.

"Howonnie! Welcome back!" Dongwoo exclaimed when he heard door click open followed by sounds of Howon's familiar footsteps. Howon smiled brightly at his boyfriend who was now snuggled on his chest before looking around the living room and sighed.

"I was gone only for three days and you already managed to trash the house this much." Howon commented before looking down at Dongwoo who already had the familiar pout of his that Howon noticed was always plastered at Dongwoo's lips whenever he is scolded or he wanted something.

Howon only chuckled before pecking Dongwoo's lips and started picking up whatever was scattered on the living room's floor.

Howon always thought how he managed to survive a three year relationship (and still counting!) with Dongwoo when they are the complete opposite of each other before remembering something.

They might've been the complete opposites and Dongwoo may not be the most perfect candidate for Howon but it doesn't matter.

Because their love was perfect enough for Howon. More than perfect actually but... nah i'll just stop at that :)

And Howon couldn't have ask for something more perfect than Dongwoo.
