You stood by the oven. The smell of gingerbread cookies had thoroughly soaked through your clothes after a long afternoon of baking. Your apron was splattered with specks of white flour. Some of it found its way into your hair, too.

Kai stood by the counter. The taste of sugar had imprinted on his hands, which worked closely to decorate the freshly baked treats. His apron was speckled with different colours of icing. A little icing found its way onto his face. Noticing the pastel stream of green across his cheek, you smirked.

"Kai. You have icing on your face," you called.

"Oh." Before you could act on the opportunity, he rubbed the sugary paste off his skin roughly, leaving a red mark. "Thanks."

You sighed and crossed your arms. "Couldn't you have let me kiss it off, like they do in dramas?"

"Nope," Kai shook his head. He scooped up a bit of icing, smeared it on your cheek, and it off instead.
