He stared at her from across the room; she wasn’t much of an eye catcher. In fact, there was nothing appealing about her at all. She had a rather round face, thickly framed glasses resting lazily on her nose bridge that only added to her already unattractive appearance and the boy was almost positive she was a nerd. He continued to stare at her, his eyes moving down as he looked at her build; thick. She was a thick person, her arms were normal, her legs weren’t skinny and her torso was a lot bigger than normal girls. She wasn’t fat; she was just curvy, in more places than one. However, that was all for him to assume, for the girl wore a loose black jeans, extra large t-shirt that drowned her completely. Lifting his hand to the hand rest, he continued to stare at her as he propped his chin on the back of his hand to a comfortable position

            This was what his parents had set him up to marry? This was the girl he was supposed to have a family with? What was to come of his reputation? What was to happen to his life if people saw him with her? Don’t they understand that he was highly looked up to and respected? Jesus, these people were crazy. There’s no way in hell he was going to ever marry that thing that sat in front of him. No. Absolutely not. Scowling to himself, he got up from the chair and proceeded to the hall, looking for the nearest washroom, sadly, being the idiot he was, he ended up getting lost and couldn’t find his way out.

            Just when he thought he was going to be stuck there for a while, he heard footsteps growing closer and closer. Turning around, he came face to face with the last person he expected. There she stood, her smaller frame tilting up to look at him. Instead of sparing him another glance her jaw squared and she walked past him as though he was nothing but thin air. The boy blinked in confusion. Did she just ignore him? What the was wrong with this woman?

            “Hey!” he called out but still she hadn’t turned around even though it was obvious that he was calling out to her.

            “Yo. Nerd” he called again and she still hadn’t responded.

            Rolling his eyes, he stalked over in a few steps and rested his hand on her shoulder, spinning the girl around as she stared at him with the darkest gaze he’d ever seen.

            “What?” her voice was laced in poison and it actually made him step back from the dread in her tone.

            “How do I get out of here?” he asked, ignoring her tone with pursed lips.

            “Figure it out yourself, nothing a nerd like me would know” she retorted sarcastically and her heels, leaving him there slightly dumbfounded. What the hell was this girl’s problem? Just as he turned to leave something on the floor sparked his interest. Bending down to retrieve it, he found a small hook-earring, assuming it was hers, he scoffed slightly. Nerd got attitude.

Hey guys, as some of you may already know, I'm going through a really rough time in my life right now.. haha... i feel horrible and my life is literally crumbling down but that doesn't mean i want to stay down. I'm writing this story to sort of relieve myself of the pain i feel, in hope that i feel better about my life.
