Trailer Tutorial: Text
❝ᶠᴿᴱᴬᴷ❞ Trailer Resources, Tutorials, & PortfolioTEXT
Now let's talk about text! By text, I mean how you describe the story... (Sorry I at explaining.) So, since we don't have voices that we could use with our trailers, we use text to describe the story. I know that some people like to use voices, but I'm not fond of that. We know it's actually a bunch of nonsense.
If you want to use voices, at least have it correspond with the story. (Just my opinion though!)
A lot of problems that I see with text is we are basically telling the entire story. Like:
Hana is a normal girl who goes to a normal high school. But when she enters a vampire school, she meets Luhan
the king of vampires. She finds out that he is trying to take over the world and needs to stop him.
Lol. I don't even know. That description , I know. Anyways, that's how they usually have it. Along with much longer descriptions of it. You don't want paragraphs in your trailers!
Let's keep it simple!
Now I'm going to take that description again and break it into parts.
AN ORDINARY GIRL
AN EXTRAODINARY SCHOOL
AND
THE KING OF VAMPIRES
If I've entered it, it means I'm going to use it on different parts at different times. That has a lot more impact and keeps the viewers interested.
