Pawprints in the snow
Description
Soft paws of velvet pads left prints that were a few inches deep in the powdery white snow before it was filled up again by those that fell from the sky, the tracks vanishing faster than they appeared.
Beautiful black rings dotted across the snowy white flanks, muscles rippling under silky fur. A long tail swept over the side, swiftly sweeping snow off a side of a rock.
And with a mighty leap, it disappeared among the cold, white snow. It was as if it was never there.
