As I lay awake at night I think of her luminous eyes, glistening like the bright moon above the night sky whenever she smiles her kind of smile that never fails to render me speechless.

Yesterday, I had somewhat given her a discreet confession thru a song, I mean, I am an orphan that never got used to the feeling of love, be it familial or romantic, how was I to know that this is love? All I know is, my heart beats twice and skips and gallops and does somersaults in the air whenever I see her, whenever our elbows accidentally touch during group projects, whenever I hear sing in the safe confines of our school’s rooftop. My previous annoyance for her loud voice and outgoing demeanour has softened into a feeling I can’t quite describe. Tiffany I may have fallen indeed.

Siguro naman by this time, nahalata na niya na siya yun diba? I asked myself and sighed for the millionth time that day. Naglalakad na ko papuntang cafeteria as usual, all by myself nanaman ang peg ko pano ba naman si Sunny busy na busy makihalubilo sa new friends niya, I can sense something dun sa Hyomin eh, lamoyon?

And ang weird kasi kanina pa ko tinitignan netong blondie barbie girl na bff ni Tiffany, parang nag may gusto sabihin but there’s a glint of hesitation? What if Tiffany asked her to deliver the bad news to me? I could only sigh. Head dropped low after our last subject; I began to lethargically gather my things up and prepare to head home when suddenly…

“Hi…” she said, her golden hair gleaming against the afternoon sun.

“Hi?” “Umm…” “Get straight to the point, I don’t have all day” mahirap man at nakakahiyang sungitan ang bff niya, eh waley akong magawa, I’m just not in the mood for this.

“Don’t be so kaka” expressionless niyang sinabi, moved robotically.

“What?”

“I’m going to ask for help in fany’s behalf though di niya alam na ginawa ko to, cause I can’t help her myself, it’s too much, we’re totally outnumbered. Just say yes if you’re willing or get the out if not, I’m giving you 5 seconds to answer”

“5…”

“YES!”

“Ay waw, easy to get teh? Di man pinaabot ng 1 para dramatic and climactic”

“Basta kung tungkol kay Fany, hindi na ko dapat mag atubili pa, nevermind the dramatic and climactic, supersonic and hypertonic mr.taxi taxi taxi~” sabi ko sabay sayaw na rin ng kaonte.

Nakita ko nalang na iinvoluntary flinch yung kaliwang mata ni Jessica.

After nya maka move on sa weird concussion nyang yon eh inexplain na nya na ayun nga, tambak ng schoolwork si Tiffany but not the usual schoolwork, it’s elementary schoolwork. At first nagulat ako kasi why? Diba? We’re freaking highschool students so why? And then I learned she needs the extra income that’s why she volunteered to do the assignments of those stupid, lazy kids. Eh di naman nya lubos akalaing MATH subject pala eh boplaks daw siya dun at although medyo magaling si Jessica sa math eh sandamakmak talaga ang gawain, tama ang word of description nya, outnumbered sila.

I held my breath as we walked closer and closer to their dorm. I will see her in a matter of minutes, in her normal non-academic clothes, maybe messy hair tied up in a bun? The environment she lives in, her personal belongings, it may not be her home ‘home’ but at least it’s where she’s been living.

“You okay?” tanong sakin ni Jessica, tumango lang ako. She smiled at me at hinawakan ako sa braso.

“Okay lang yan, what you did was actually brave, Fany will realize that…”

Ibig sabihin hindi nya pa narrealize which means there’s a possibility na galit siya saken or hindi nya alam na sa kanya ako nag confess that time?

Too late though dahil bago pa ko makapag isip ng escape route eh bumukas na ang pintuan, and there she was… in her usual blinding glory...

Tama nga ako, her hair was tied up in a loose and messy bun but still, she looked effortless beautiful. Strands of her hair rest on the smooth surfaces of her neck and collarbones, which were ing prominent, mind you. She was wearing this pale salmon pink tshirt and white shorts looking very tired and worrisome and clueless, all in all, she looked oh so adorable.

Gusto ko na siyang iuwi, please. Mommy can I? can I?

Napalitan ng gitla ang expression niya upon seeing me, she kept opening and closing as if she wants to say something but couldn’t, her finger affixed to me while she throws Jessica a questioning look.

“Well, welcome to our humble abode!” sabi ni Jessica, with a silly smile on her face and arms wide open, agad agad siyang kinaladkad papasok ni Tiffany sabay sara ng pinto sa mukha ko.

“Are you out of your mind? Jessie!!! Bakit mo dinala ditto si Taeyeon?! I DESERVE AN EXPLANATION!”

“Sorry di ko bet si Papa P,di kami talo, parehas kaming pusong babae. Dinala ko dito si bulilit kasi obviously tignan mo yan!” sabi ng bff ko sabay dramatically sway ng hands sa lapag, kung saan nagkalat ang papers after papers ng math problems needed to be solved and to top it all, tomorrow na ang deadline! “sa tingin mo ba kahit di tayo matulog ngayong gabi matatapos natin yan?! Tapos taga sulat ka lang ng sagot ako naman taga solve?! Wit nating maaabot ang finish line ateng! Face it, we need help, that’s why I brought Taeyeon” pag rereason out ni Jessica sakin na naka pamewang pa.

I sighed, defeated. We do need help, which I admit but kelangan bang si Taeyeon pa? Wala na bang ibang math nerd out there who can possibly help us? And if I know, isa lang itong malupit na ‘da moves’ ni Jung, after nung event na school festival at after ko i-disclose sa kanya ang naramdaman ko after, I know, she’s planning something sneaky behind that blonde hair of hers. Tch. Beyotch talaga.

Which leaves me at a disadvantage because… how am I going to face Taeyeon?

Taeyeon’s POV

I was outside for about a minute bago bumukas ang pintuan and I saw a very apologetic Tiffany standing in front of me, eneveh so cute stahp it :’>

“Come in, come in! Pasok ka!” I heard Jessica shouting from inside the room, I looked at Tiffany for confirmation and she…she couldn’t look at me.

She was just standing there, eyes on the ground, blushing mad. Wait…what? Na..nag.. b-blush siya? As in puffed and flustered cheeks? Why? Hindi ba siya galit? Mygahd Lord God sana po hindi siya galit please magpapakabait ako for the whole year talaga…

She bit her lip, still blushing and here I am, melting inside like ice cream exposed in the hot summer sun.

She swallowed hard and cleared .

“Um, nagmeryenda ka na ba? Pasok ka muna…” she whispered and my heart leaped for joy.

So ayun, isip pa ko  ng magandang pangyayari after that tae kakabobo kasi these days, inagyan. kwento mo sa pekeng nunal ni panyang sa Mr.Mr
