It was already the start of Summer.

Mitch's favorite season of the year. She woke up early as she decided to prepare breakfast for her Mom and Dad.

 

Mitch prepared a cheese omelet, fried some bacon and made some french toast.

She was so happy seeing the sun shining so brightly.

 

“Hmmm! That smells so good!”, said Mrs. Lee as she went to the kitchen

“Oh! Good Morning Mom. Breakfast is almost ready! Is dad already awake?”, she asked

“Yes, he's coming.”, said Mrs. Lee

“Good.”, Mitch said with a smile as she went back to cooking

 

As they started having their breakfast,

Mr. Lee turned the TV on.

 

“There's bunch of boys singing and dancing their off. I heard these guys are a big hit to teenagers these days. You know them, Mitch?”, asked Mr. Lee

 

Mitch turned to the TV as she was munching on her french toast.

It was EXO whom her Dad was referring to.

 

“You like them?”, Mr. Lee asked again

“Hmm... Yeah, they're cool. All of them are talented.”, she said as she smiled

“That boy right there looks familiar.”, said Mrs. Lee as she pointed one of the members

 

Mitch just smiled as she knew who her Mom was referring to.

 

….

 

In the afternoon,

Mitch was inside her bedroom surfing the internet.

Her phone suddenly rang.

It was her friend Angie who called.

 

“Hey Mitch, do you want to come with us this evening? Belle and I are going to attend Exo's Mini concert. And we have an extra ticket!”, said Angie

“Well, I... I'll try asking my parents first.”, said Mitch

“Oh, okay. I hope you can.”, said Angie

 

Mitch suddenly thought if she really wanted to go.

She knew her parents would allow her but there was this feeling that she didn't want to.

 

She opened her drawer and saw two pictures of herself with a boy when she was little.

She smiled as she looked at these pictures as she remembered the boy on that picture.

 

...FLASHBACK...

(11 years ago)

Mitch was walking around this strawberry field.

Wearing a yellow dress and a yellow bow tie clipped on her hair.

It was a summer and it was her first time to go strawberry picking.

 

As she was walking around carrying her basket,

A boy came running and accidentally bumped her that made her fall on the ground.

 

“Ouch!”, she complained

 

The boy stopped and looked back.

The boy came to her and helped her up.

He offered his hand like a little gentleman.

 

“Oh, I'm so sorry. I just really got so excited seeing these strawberries. I hope you'll forgive me.”

 

Mitch looked up to him as she held his hand.

 

“You should have been careful, mushroom head.”, uttered Mitch

 

The boy was so surprised hearing Mitch call her a mushroom head.

 

“Hey... Why did you just call me a mushroom head?”, the boy complained

“Well you head looks like a mushroom. With a hair like that.”,said Mitch frankly

 

The little boy pouted as he tried fixing hair.

 

“It will still look like a mushroom no matter what you'll do about it.”, said Mitch

 

The boy sighed.

 

“You should be careful next time. I'm leaving.”, said Mitch as she fixed her dress and started walking away like a little lady

 

The boy was surprised Mitch just left that way.

The boy ran to her and grabbed her hand.

 

“Hey wait! Do you want to pick strawberries together?”, he asked

“Huh? Why? Aren't your parents with you?”, asked Mitch

“They are just waiting for me at the tavern.”, said the boy

“Well my parents are also there at the tavern. They wanted me to explore the field on my own.”, said Mitch

“Can't we just go together?”, asked the boy

 

Mitch looked at him from head to foot and said,

“Well, okay. I guess it wouldn't be a problem if I go with a mushroom head.”

 

The boy smiled.

The two of them walked together carrying their own baskets.

The two had fun picking strawberries.

The two became closer even though they didn't even know each others' name yet.

 

After getting tired of having fun picking strawberries,

both of them went to the tavern where their parents were waiting for them.

 

“Oh! You found a new friend!”, said Mrs. Lee

“What's your friend's name?”, Mr. Lee asked

“Err....”, Mitch uttered as she was looking confused for she really doesn't know the boy's name

 

But the boy approached his parents and said,

“Good Afternoon. My name is Kyungsoo Do.”

 

Mitch's parents was so surprised at how the boy was so polite.

Kyungsoo's parents suddenly came.

 

“Oh dear, you're back already. Your Dad and I brought you some strawberry jam.”, said Mrs. Do

“Looks like our son found a new friend.”, said Mr. Do

“She's one pretty lady.”, said Mrs. Do

“Good Afternoon. I'm Mitch Lee.”, said Mitch politely

 

Mitch's and Kyungsoo's parents were smiling at each other as they thought their kids were so cute.

 

“I think both of you should take a remembrance photo.”, said Mrs. Do

“Yes, Mitch, take a photo with your new friend.”,said Mrs. Lee

 

Kyungsoo and Mitch exchanged looks and then smiled at each other.

 

…...

 

“Mushroom head.”, uttered Mitch as she looked at the picture

 

Mitch hid the picture back in her drawer.

 

“Okay, let's go to that Exo concert then.”, said Mitch

 

That evening,

Mitch met her friends Angie and Belle.

The two were so excited as they hugged her tightly when they saw Mitch.

 

“Oh my gosh! I'm really so excited!”, said Belle as she jumped excitedly

“I'm gonna see Sehun and Kai and Kris! Oh my gosh! I just can't contain it anymore!!!”, screamed Angie

 

The three of them entered the concert hall.

A lot of fans came.

Throughout the concert, Belle, Angie and Mitch sang along with Exo during their performances.

 

When Exo's performances were about to end,

a representative from the concert coordinators came on stage.

 

“We have a surprise for you Exo fans! We will be having a raffle! We will be drawing twelve lucky winners to meet Exo after the concert. Check the number at the back of your tickets. If you're number will be called they you're so lucky to meet Exo backstage!”

 

“OMG!”, said Belle as she hugged Angie and Mitch tightly

“Hey! I can't breathe!! I can't! My feels! Please!! Let me be one of those lucky twelve!”, said Angie

 

Mitch smiled as she was also hoping to be lucky enough to meet Exo.

But she knew with all those thousands of people inside the concert hall,

it would be impossible for her to be picked.

 

“Okay, here it goes. The twelve luck numbers! 101, 203, 500, 780, 999, 575, 16, 36, 02, 20,

1000, 08.

 

Mitch's eyes suddenly widened as she looked at the back of her ticket.

 

“Oh my gosh! Eight! You're number eight!!”, screamed Angie as Belle jumped with her excitedly

“Please tell Tao I love him so much!”, said Belle

“Please tell Sehun and Kai and Kris and all of them that I love them so so so so much!”, said Angie

 

Mitch was excited but she also felt nervous.

 

As she went to the backstage,

her hands went cold due to nervousness.

 

They were privileged to let the Exo members to sign their albums, merchandise or anything they had.

On a long table, Suho was the first one to sign, next is Kris, then Tao, then Sehun, next is Kai, then Chen, then Luhan, then Chanyeol, next is Lay, then Baekhyun, then Xiumin and last one was Kyungsoo.

 

Mitch was so excited.

She was so happy having the twelve members sign her album.

When she was already on Xiumin,

she kept glancing at Kyungsoo.

Her attention was on her.

 

“Your name?”, asked Xiumin

 

But Mitch was on Kyungsoo

 

“Excuse me? Your name?”, repeated Xiumin with a smile

“Oh, err... Sorry. Mitch. Mitch Lee.”, she said as she went back to Xiumin

 

Mitch now focused on Xiumin.

When Kyungsoo heard her name,

Kyungsoo kept glancing at her.

 

It was now Kyungsoo's turn

“Err...”, uttered Mitch as she gave him her album.

 

Kyungsoo sighed but he kept glancing at her.

Mitch suddenly got something out of her bag.

 

She pulled out their picture back when there were kids.

She was expecting maybe Kyungsoo will remember her.

 

As she placed it on the table she said,

“Please sign this too.”

 

Kyungsoo's eyes widened seeing the picture right in front of him.

What was going on his mind was,

“This picture. It's... It's... It's her? Mitch... Mitch Lee..”

 

Kyungsoo was out of words.

He looked at her without saying anything.

Mitch was also staring at her.

The two were just plainly looking at each other.

 

Suddenly,

someone pushed Mitch

“You have to move now dear. Others still have to let D.O. sign their albums.”

 

Kyungsoo still wanted to talk.
Mitch still wanted to ask if he still remembers her.

But the two had no choice.

 

“W-w-wait...”, Kyungsoo uttered.

 

But Kyungsoo can't do anything.

Another fan came and he has to give fan service others.

The picture was left with Kyungsoo.

He sighed as he saw Mitch leave.

 

….

 

The next day,

EXO had no schedules.

They were just staying in their dorm.

 

Kyungsoo, who was up all night laid in his bed staring blankly at the ceiling with the photo on his hand.

Chanyeol noticed and approached him.

 

“Hey, are you ok?”, he asked

“Nahhh...”, Kyungsoo said

“You've been holding that picture since last night.”, said Chanyeol

“Yeah...”, said Kyungsoo with a sigh

“A certain fan left that, right?”, Chaneol asked

“She's not just a fan... She's the girl I've been looking for.”, said Kyungsoo

“Really? So you fond her!”, said Chanyeol excitedly

“Yeah, I found her. But I didn't get the chance to know here number, e-mail or anything of that sort, I don't even have any idea where she lives! It's been eleven years.”, said Kyungsoo

“We'll find a way then! You know her name, right?”, Chanyeol asked

“Of course.”, said Kyungsoo

“Maybe she has a facebook account! Or twitter!”, said Chanyeol

“She doesn't! If she had then I should have found her a long time already!”, said Kyungsoo

So you still want to look fer her?”, asked Chanyeol

“Yeah. But I don't know how to find her. I'm such a loser.”, said Kyungsoo as he sighed.

 

Chanyeol gave him a pat.

 

…...

 

During lunch,

all twelve members gathered around the dining table to have lunch with their manager.

 

“Who wants to go strawberry picking with me?” asked their manager

 

Kyungsoo's ears tingled when he heard strawberry picking.

He remembered the first time and the last time he saw Mitch.

 

“I'll go with you, Hyung!”, he said

 

The members was so surprised.

They didn't expect Kyungsoo to go strawberry picking.

Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Xiumin, Kai and Kris decided to come along.

 

As the arrived the strawberry field,

Kyungsoo still has the photo in his pocket.

 

Chanyeol and Kyungsoo went together, walking around the field.

Kyungsoo kept smiling as he remembered how he and Mitch met at the same strawberry field eleven years ago.

He remembered how he accidentally bumped that cute little girl wearing a yellow dress and a yellow bow on her hair. He remembered how they ran along the field. How they went strawberry picking together, And he remembered how Mitch called her a mushroom head.

 

He smiled but with a sigh.

 

“I'll walk alone for a while.”, said Kyungsoo to Chanyeol

“Okay.”, said Chanyeol

 

Kyungsoo went back to the place were she exactly bumped Mitch.

She smiled as he remembered how he held her hand, helping her getting up.

 

“Mushroom head...”, he uttered with a smile as he looked at their photo

Suddenly,

someone bumped into him.

He fell on the ground. He dirtied his pants and he felt irritated.

 

“Oh, sorry. I didn't see a mushroom head was actually standing here.”

 

Kyungsoo suddenly surprised when he heard someone cal her a mushroom head.

The last time he heard someone call her a mushroom head was eleven years ago.

And it was Mitch.

 

He quickly got up.

As he turned,

a girl wearing a yellow dress, carrying a basket of strawberries was smiling at him.

 

He couldn't believe it.

It was Mitch.

She was smiling at her.

She's in front of her. The girl she's been looking for years.

Finally.

 

“I guess that belongs to me.”, said Mitch as she pointed at the photo Kyungsoo was holding

 

Kyungsoo smiled and hugged her tightly.

 

“I've been looking for you all these years... And I didn't expect it would still be here. Back in this strawberry field. Where we first met.”, said Kyungsoo

“You've been looking for me all these years but I think I was the one who found you.”, said Mitch

“I will never let you go, Mitch Lee.”, said Kyungsoo

Mitch smiled, hugged him tightly and said, “Me either, Mushroom head.”
