“Luna-ssi.”

“Hm?”

“Can I sleep next to you?”

“No.”

“But-“

“No.”

I was currently sitting on my bed, my back against the headboard and a blanket wrapped around my small body as I continued to read the novel I just bought yesterday. SeHun sat at the edge of my bed, looking at me with that poker-faced expression of his.

“Luna-ssi.”

“No.”

I felt the bed move. I looked up from my book and saw him crawling towards me like a kid. It was obvious that he was trying to crawl as stealthy as he could so that I won’t notice, but it was too late.

“Hey, I said n-”

“Silence.”

I froze at what he said. He just commanded me. He just seriously asked me to shut up! He was staring at me again. SeHun crawled closer and laid his head on top of my lap, hugging my waist like it was a pillow. I tried to pry him off but he won’t budge and the more I tried, the tighter his grip around me got.

“SeHun!”

“Yes?” He looked at me, innocently.

“Get off me!”

“No. I want to sleep here.” He buried his face in my legs. I could feel all the blood rush to my face. If not for the blanket, I might die of total embarrassment right now.

“Go sleep in your room!”

“I’m lonely there.” He replied while pouting. I could have sworn that he was just doing this to annoy me, but damn! SeHun was just too cute for his own good. I’m not even sure if he knows this.

“I don’t care!” I shouted at him. I had to get him out of my room before he drives me nuts. I was starting to get annoyed. I wriggled my legs to at least try to get him off. SeHun raised his head and glared at me. I just raised a brow and tried to pull his arms away from my waist.

“Let me go!” I shouted in frustration.

He seemed to have finally listened to my cries when he loosened his grip and got off of me. I sighed in relief and was about to continue to read when SeHun suddenly pulled me onto his lap and hugged me from behind.

“SeHun!!!!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs as I tried to struggle free from him. I tried to hit him on the head but he evaded and stole a quick kiss on my cheek. I couldn’t help but blush and get more annoyed at the same time.

“Let me go!” I screamed once again.

Loud thudding steps could be heard from outside as the sound got nearer and nearer and then, someone barged into my room.

“What’s happening?!”

SeHun and I stared at the intruders with shocked expressions. Lay and Lu Han came into my view, both with wide-eyed expressions and Lu Han clicking away with his phone’s camera.

“What are y-” I started to ask Lu Han but I was cut off.

“What is the meaning of this?” Lay looked at us with a raised brow. I was about to answer when I heard SeHun mumble incoherent words. I looked at him and that was when I only noticed that we were already in a lying position with him in the bottom and me on top. I felt the blood drain out of my face as I recoiled away from him and bawled my way to Lay.

“Oppa! SeHun keeps on disturbing me!” I pointed at SeHun accusingly. Lay ruffled my hair as I wrapped my arms around his waist and glared at SeHun who was still sitting on my bed.

“SeHun what are you doing here anyway?” Lu Han asked. He just looked at Lu Han with that faraway gaze of his.

“I was just about to make love.” He turned to me and smirked before hopping off the bed and pocketing his hands as he walked towards where we are.

“What?” Lay asked as he stared at SeHun incredulously while the latter just glared back. I couldn’t help but feel embarrassed and at the same time, totally flabbergasted at what SeHun just said. The way he gazed at me made me unable to move and that smirk! That smirk which could make a thousand girls swoon, he has only shown to me. Should I feel special in any way? I won’t deny the fact that I’ve had a crush on him ever since we were kids, but there is no way in hell I would tell him that.

“SeHun-ssi. What are you doing?” I asked as I bent over and watched a 6-year old SeHun  play in the sandbox.

“I’m making a castle.”

“A castle?” I tilted my head before sitting down to watch him work.

SeHun just nodded as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. He was obviously having a hard time, but still, he looked cute as he tried to make the castle stand without falling back down. He was sweaty and thirsty.

“SeHun-ssi.” I damped my handkerchief on his forehead and wiped the beads of sweat away as he stared at me with those mesmerizing eyes of his. I felt my cheeks heat up as he smiled at me and gave me a quick peck on the cheek. I felt something tug at my heart and butterflies dance in my stomach. What is this feeling? Am I sick? Should I go to a doctor? 

“I’ve decided.” He said. I snapped out of my thoughts and stared at him curiously.

“You’re going to live with me in this castle right here, Luna.” He pointed at the half-standing sand castle as he held my small hand and smiled. I felt the corners of my mouth stretch into a grin itself as I nodded and started to help him build our castle.

I held onto Lay’s waist tighter as I stuck my tongue out at SeHun who returned the gesture with a disappointed look before walking out of the room. As soon as his figure was gone, I released my hold on Lay and uttered a simple ‘thank you’ before he, together with Lu Han, walked out of the room too.

I flopped on my bed and stared at the ceiling while hugging my pillow. SeHun’s disappointed gaze appeared in my mind and it left me confused. What was with that look? I dismissed the idea and turned to my side, still hugging my pillow, until sleep consumed me.

“SeHun-ssi, where are you going?” I watched as he fixed himself in front of the mirror.

“On a date.”

I felt a pang on my heart as I watched him smile at me and then proceed to fix his tie. SeHun grew up to become a total ulzzang that almost every girl in campus wanted to have him for herself. And now, that smile of his won’t be mine alone. Selfish aren’t I? That’s the effect of love. And truthfully, I hate it. I hate how much he’s changed. I hate how much he’s become popular. I hate how he forgot that one special promise.

“Who’s the lucky girl?” I asked placidly.

“Han Min Chan. She’s really cute and adorable.” He smiled to himself and I couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous.

“Do you like her?”

“What? Park Luna, are you, in your own little way, jealous?” He smirked. I felt annoyed as I threw a pillow at him and stomped my way out of the room.

“Of course not, you jerk!”

I could feel something moving under the covers. I abandoned the thought since I was really sleepy and tired but as soon as something moved beside me, I bolted straight up and pulled the covers away. I mentally face palmed myself as I watched SeHun’s sleeping figure snoring soundly next to me. That’s when I finally noticed it. He was on my bed, in the middle of the night, next to me, and he was goddamn shirtless! Without another thought, I kicked him off the bed and pummeled him with pillows.

“Hey, wait! Ow! Luna! Stop!”  SeHun tried to block my attacks with his arms as he staggered to get up and grab my flinging arms.

“What are you doing here?! ert! Get out!” I shouted as I hit him repeatedly on the chest. SeHun grabbed my arms again and pinned them above my head as I stumbled backwards onto the bed. Time seemed to stop as we both gazed into each other’s eyes. Forgotten feelings started to awaken as I reminiscence the sweet memories we shared together.

“Good luck on your game! Win it!” I waved at SeHun from the bleachers of the stadium.

“Of course! I’d win it for you, my Princess!” He shouted back as he blew a flying kiss towards me. I laughed at his gesture and gave him a ‘thumbs up’ sign which he returned with a ‘victory’ sign.

SeHun leaned in closer just enough for our noses to touch. I felt my breath hitch as he ran a finger across my face and exhaled, making me take in the scent of mint. His flawless face is inches away from mine and my gaze unconsciously falls to his lips.

“Hey, Luna. What does a first kiss feel like?” SeHun asked while we were cutting classes and sitting on the rooftop. I looked at him shocked and unable to answer. He was staring at the sky as I looked at him, still unable to answer the simple question.

“Luna?” He finally looked at me and I broke my gaze on him.

“I-I don’t know! Geez, go ask Lu Han instead!” I answered, stammering. I heard him chuckle and just when I turned around, he pecked me lightly on the lips. My mouth hung open as he just smiled and chuckled. He kissed me! Oh SeHun kissed me!

“Well? What did it feel like?”

I slapped him on the arm and stood up.

“I don’t know! Geez!”

“Luna.” SeHun was getting closer. This is that point of time when I stop breathing. I squirmed from under him but my gaze never really left his as he finally closed the gap between us with a soft, yet fierce kiss. I felt him release my wrists as he started to use his hands to travel along my sides, tugging on the fabric that protected me from his lust-filled eyes. His hands slid down to my thigh as he gently wrapped it around his waist. I broke the kiss and panted as I looked at him with uncertainty and fear.

“It’s gonna be okay.” He kissed my forehead. Hesitation was still in my mind but as soon as I saw SeHun’s reassuring smile, all my fears melted away and I let him take me then and there.

“SeHun-ssi! I’m scared!” I cried as I tugged on SeHun’s shirt while we walked in the dark forest. My little hand grabbed onto his neck as soon as I heard a rustle in the bushes and the hooting of the owls. I began to cry and call out for my mama when he leaned down and hugged me with his small arms.

“It’s gonna be okay, Luna. I’ll protect you. I promise.” I looked up from my tear-filled eyes to see SeHun’s smiling face glistening under the moonlight. I gave out a small smile and accepted the hand he has offered as we found our way out of the forest.

 

 

“Shut up! They’ll hear you!”

I could hear whispers as I stirred in my sleep. I’ve never felt better and as I opened my eyes, I was greeted by two pairs of curious and mischievous-looking eyes that belonged to no other than Kai and Lu Han.

“Morning, guys.” I yawned as I tried to sit up from the bed. I wiped my still half-asleep eyes before stretching my arms out, which made the blanket fall off my body. My body. Just before the blanket fully exposed my upper body, I felt a hand grab onto it and pull it back wrap it up against my body. I turned around to see SeHun with that poker-faced expression of his looking at the two other people in the room.

“Something naughty just happened.” Kai smirked.

“Get out.” SeHun commanded.

“Can’t wait to tell the others.” Lu Han said in a sing song voice.

“Get out.” SeHun repeated.

“What’s the matter, Sehun? Afraid that we’ll get to se-”

“Scram!” He shouted. Kai and Lu Han bolted out of the room in surprise and left us all alone again. SeHun’s arm was still wrapped around the blanket that was covering me and just when I turned to look at him, I finally noticed his bare upper torso and his messy bed hair. He looked hot. Too hot.

“Tha-” I stopped in mid-sentence when I finally realized the position we were in. SeHun was on my bed. . Next to me. . Under the same blanket. Memories of last night ran through my head like a video clip as I remembered the sweet kisses we shared and the pleasure we got from it. I turned my back from him and buried my face in my hands.

“Luna.”

I slowly turned around only to be greeted by his soft kiss and his gentle smile. I was perplexed and yet, at the same time, I felt extremely happy. But there was still fear within me that made me scared of the fact that this might all just be a game to him.

“I love you.”

My eyes grew wide from what he said. Was he serious? I felt the butterflies again and I could feel my heart racing to the finish line.

“W-what?”

“I love you, Park Luna.”

“But what about Min Cha-”

“I was only trying to make you jealous. You don’t know how naïve you can get.” He ran a hand through his messy locks and gave me a lazy smile which made my heart beat faster.

“Well?”

“Huh?” I looked at him again.

“Your answer?” He asked impatiently.

“I hate you, Oh SeHun... but nevertheless, I still love you more.” I shyly smiled at him as he just looked at me with his face propped against his knee and supported by his hand.

“Come here.” He held out his hand to me and I gladly took it.

“I guess now, we can start making that castle of ours.” He chuckled as he sat me on his lap. I just laughed and kissed him on the tip of his nose.

“I love you. Always had and always will.”
