1.1 : meet the husbands

Kai snickered when he spotted Wendy under the gazebo by herself, watching the other vans exit the filming site. "Noona looks like a deer with her glasses on." He commented. It somewhat resembled to the glasses Suho would always buy for Chanyeol, who was very fond of eye accessories (any accessories, to be precise). He couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he fixed his cap while walking along the bushes quietly, the camera man trailing after him.
"I think she'll be really surprised that I'm her husband." he confessed, his back facing the camera. "I think she's expecting someone really handsome. Kris hyung told me her ideal type is someone like Taeyang hyungnim." At the thought, he suddenly bursted out with hysterical laughing, the same laugh he always showcased whenever he found something funny.
Shaking his head, he added, "Ah, Wendy noona, don't worry. You may not have gotten Taeyang, you got Kai anyways and that's as good as any Big Bang member."

"It seems like the other wives get to go out to meet their husbands at special places but the PD-nim told me to stay here because my husband will personally surprise me." Wendy said. Although she was sitting contently, one couldn't help but notice the envy in the tone of her voice as she watched vans leave one by one.
She shook her head and began to worry about other things instead. Being an idol who was not of full Korean blood, she began to kill time by wondering how she'd do during the first day of filming. She had high expectations for the show and being with the other female idols was an idea she was very fond of.
"The other wives have already said hi to me but they couldn't stay for long since they have to go to their designated meeting places." she raised a brow and added, "I think I'm the only one who is left to meet her husband here!"
She began to open the zipper of her bag, preparing the oreo she took for herself behind the scenes when suddenly, a familiar head popped up behind her.
"Wendy noona."
Wendy turned around on her seat and was greeted by none other than EXO's Kai, the main dancer/visual and 2nd maknae, next to Oh Sehun. He kept his face blank as he snatched the oreo sachet she held in her hands. She rolled her eyes as she watched him take the seat next to her.
"I heard from your stylist that you would be filming for this show but I didn't believe it." she said coolly. The two idols were well acquainted with one another and have been good friends since training days. Since the two came from the same company, they often saw each other around the building and collaborated a few times for special stages and performances. However, Wendy was closer to the M members since most of them were Chinese, like her. "Have you met your wife?"
The two talked as if there was no camera and coordi with them, which made the staff laugh.
"I'll be meeting her."
She shook her head and glared at him. "Aigoo, I pity her. You're so cheap, you didn't even get her any gift or prepared anything special?"
He began to peel the biscuit open. "Well I prepared myself. I'm special enough, aren't I?" he chuckled at his cockiness before adding, "Kris hyung is here too. Did you know?"
Kris Wu, leader of EXO-M who was a year ahead of her, was one of her good friends. "He texted me earlier today, telling me how he's excited to meet his wife but he didn't tell me you'd be here too."
He pouted as if he was hurt by her words. "You seem like you're not pleased to see me."
She laughed, hitting him lightly on the arm. "I see you guys everyday!"
"You'll see me more often then~"
Wendy stared at him with a grin on her face. "Why, because we'll be filming often for the show?"
He shook his head as he began to take out a folded flyer from his pocket. She rolled her eyes when she realized it was a delivery hotline for a famous chicken delivery. "Aniya! Because I'm your husband!" he laughed at the frozen expression plastered on her face. "Noona~" he crooned cutely, which caused Wendy to shiver. Kai was always awkward with aegyo so seeing him do it was so strange. "Noona, buy me chicken!"

♡chansung & seona♡
To say Hwang Chansung was anxious in meeting his wife was an understatement. Although it's been a little past 7 years since he debuted, it's the first time he'll be in a reality/variety without the hyung to answer for him. For once, he'll have to do it for himself and what's more, he'll have a virtual wife and a virtual child.
"My mission today is to meet my wife and surprise her priot to filming." He calmly said to the camera. Over the years, he's become less camera shy and has learned how to film in variety in able to get longer screen time.
"Chansung-ssi is well anticipated on the show because of his chocolate abs." the VJ commented. The idol bowed his head in a flustered state and smiled bashfully. "Will you be showing it to your wife?"
He playfully snickered, hiding his mouth behind the back of his hand. "Ah, but I am not performing~" he mused. "I only show my body when I am performing."
Since he was in a group known for their 'beastly' image, he wasn't surprised he was being asked this.
The questions from the VJ continued as he made his way towards a familiar street to him. They were headed towards YG Ent. and he was wondering whether his new wife was from the company of one of his CEO's good friends.
"Actually, I was instructed to meet my wife at the filming site." he revealed. "But when I was asked whether I would like to meet her prior and if I wanted to surprise her, then I could."
The van did settle along the parking lot behind the YG building and he suddenly felt himself getting nervous. The coordi said it was indeed someone from YG Ent. and he began to think of the possibility of who could be his wife. There were plenty of female stars in YG such as Goo Hyesun, 2NE1, and Song Seona.
"As much as I'd like for it to be actress Yoo Inna," he started, reaching for the box of chocolates he bought earlier. Every girl liked chocolates so he was hoping his small gift would be enough to make her feel happy. "I don't think it'll be her since she already has Ji Hyunwoo-ssi."
The staff laughed at him as he got out of the car.
It was a bright and sunny morning and the idea of going to the filming site with his new wife elated him.

Seona was running a little late. Filming for the music show was a little earlier than usual for today and she was scheduled to go directly to the filming site after However, she had to go back to YGE Building first before to meet up with her manager to discuss briefly about her schedule.
When she exited the room, she spotted the WGAC camera and knew immediately that filming was already beginning.
She leaped up and clutched the front of her chest, claiming that the VJ scared her. "PD-nim, you scared me." she laughed playfully.
Although it was a hectic morning for the idol, she was still all smiles and showed courtesy to the staff present.
"I still have to do my make up." she said, pouting. Seona, in fact, was not ready at all. She had minimum amount of make up and she was still in her attire for Marshmallow, yet still, she looked radiant and natural, like the Korean-American beauty she's always showcased to her fans.
Seona had surprised and swept everyone by surprise with all kills. However, she was also one of the artists that were well anticipated since the nation has kept a close eye on her ever since she won on Kpop Star Season 1. It's been a year and a half since she officially debuted after training for 1 year and people were very positive when she first debuted with her first solo track.
With her 'all-kill' image, it was definetely a surprise when she was suddenly casted on MBC's new spinoff show, We Got A Child.
She chatted for a while witht he VJ and coordi, talking to them as she made her way back to the make up room.
However, she was suddenly caught off guard when she realized that someone was already there. Her jaw dropped and she couldn't help but scream in surprise and delight to find out that her husband was the maknae of 2PM, Hwang Chansung.
Chansung bowed and smiled at her when he realized that Seona will be his wife.
He actually already thought of the possibility of it being Seona but since she was an idol who was loved by so many male fans, he didn't really expect it. When they both finished introducing themselves to one another, they began to awkwardly converse.
"Ah, are you hungry?" Chansung asked, proving to be the maknae of the group. Of course he would ask whether she was hungry instead of the weather. When Seona nodded shyly, he gave her the box of chocolate. "I should have brought something more healthy." he chuckled.
However, Seona instantly jumped when she saw the chocolates, proving as well that she was the youngest of the entertainment company. "I love chocolates!" she beamed widely, taking it quickly and catching him by surprise.

The couple made their way to the back of the parking lot with the mission of buying a gift for their child upon their first meeting. It was during this time when Seona turned to Chansung with a bashful smile and said, "Actually, I'm a big fan of 2PM oppas. Ever since 10 out of 10 days."
Chansung's mouth formed into a small 'o'. "I still had long hair during that time." he commented. Truthfully, he never liked his long hair; it was the manager and stylists who had suggested it. "Who is your favorite member?"
Although Chansung was skeptical whether she was going to say his name, he was completely flattered when Seona answered, "Chansung-ssi."
He found that he couldn't help but stop smiling as they both entered the van together. Although it wasn't as awkward as they both thought it would be, it was definitely comfortable being around Chansung.

♡kris & haneul♡
Fumbling with her fingers, Haneul anxiously ran a hand through her long dark tresses and double checked her reflection on her small pink Lioele rose mirror, which she never leaves without. As the car drove by on the familiar streets leading to Lotte Young Plaza mall in Myeongdong. It was a less hectic morning and Haneul couldn't help but feel thankful that the schedule for shooting coincided with the schedule of the first week of school.
"If my husband was a really big star, I don't think we would be able to meet in this place." She snickered as the van vegan to parallel park. "PD-nim, my husband is not a big star right?"
"It's Woobin-ssi." Her VJ teased with her, reminding her of their conversation earlier how she would pick Lee Minho over her good friend, Kim Woobin.
She shook her head. "Ah, no, anyone but Woobin. I see him enough at work."
"Then it's Kai."
Haneul was instructed to exit the van with the VJ and find her husband somewhere along the female department of the store. "If it's Kai I would be relieved but shouldn't you guys give me a husband that I don't know?!" she teased playfully. Stretching out her limbs as she got out of the car, she headed inside the shopping mall with excitement.

All EXO's Kris Wu could do was laugh in disbelief as the coordi handed him the furry mascot of a wolf. Other than EXO's Showtime, it would be the first time he'd be able to show fans another side of him and honestly, he wasn't so sure he wanted to do it while trapped in a heated mascot apparatus.
"But I'll be all sweaty when I get out of it." he whined to the coodi noonas. "Does D.O and Kai have to wear these too?"
When the staff answered him with a nod, he couldn't help but laugh deviously, oblivious to the possibility of it being a lie. "Well then. At least I'm not alone."

Instead of looking for her husband, Haneul ended up strolling around the female department section, looking for things she could buy for the members. "Since we don't have time to go to shopping malls these days, we often get depressed." she chuckled nervously as she revealed it to the camera. "I think any girl would be depressed if they weren't able to go shopping when they wanted to."
She was so busy looking at a cosmetic set that she was caught off guard when she was suddenly hugged awkwardly from the back by a mysterious mascot.
The first thing she did was look down at the furry arms and when she turned around, she ended up in a fit of laughter. "Ah, isn't this Kai?" she eyed the mascot suspiciously and even when he shook his head, she didn't believe. "But who else will meet me in a wolf costume?" She began to reach for the head of the mascot but suddenly stopped and said, "Ah, but Jongin isn't this tall is he?"
Her husband began to do the 'tree' movement at the beginning of the Wolf dance and even the main 'wolf' pose.
"This is an EXO member, isn't it?" She laughed, reaching once again for the head. She placed both hands firmly on each side of his head and began to tug on it but her husband also had a firm grip on it. In the middle of the empty department store, they began their physical battle but her husband finally let go, revealing himself to her.
She stumbled and fell in the process but ended up laughing with her head bowed down. Kris was all smiles as he helped his wife, giving her a hand and guiding her back to her two feet.
"I couldn't take it!" he exclaimed. "Do you want Kai to be your husband instead?" he asked in a playful manner, feeling delighted upon meeting his wife.
"Ah, it's Kris." she said as a school girl would say it, fanning herself as she hid her face in embarrassment. "Kris Wu! Did you just give me a back hug?!"
He beamed nervously. "PD-nim told me to do it!"
The two began to walk towards the center of the section where they were met with a staff standing by a mission envelope. Still awkward with one another, the two walked side by side with a considerable amount of distance, causing the staff to chuckle at them.

♡myungsoo & soojung♡
"Soojung-ssi, if you were to pick your husband, who would it be?"
"It can be anyone?" She beamed mischievously. "I've already expressed it earlier, but I'm a really big fan of Kim Woobin. I've kept my eye on him ever since The Inheritors ended." She nodded her head twice before adding, "But he already has a girlfriend which makes not only me sad, but the rest of the female population in Korea sad, isn't that right?"
The VJ laughed, following Soojung into the corner of the park where the benches were at. Finally settling on one, she took a deep breath and revealed her worries. "Honestly, this is my first time joining a show like this. When I was still training, I watched Jokwon oppa with Gain eunnie and I really envied him." Jokwon and Soojung are both in JYP Entertainment, along label mate Haneul. "Nichkhun oppa went on the show too and so I felt really envious of the two of them. Jun.K oppa was on The Romantic & Idol and he got to show a different side of him so through this show, I'm hoping I make a good impression."
Before coming on the show, Soojung had actually expressed her feelings of fear not only to her members but also to Haneul who was currently one of Korea's beloved top star. Since she was still new to the entertainment industry, she asked for advices on what to do compared to what she shouldn't do.
"You've been active for over a year now though and Soojung-ssi has been a good leader to her members."
She chuckled nervously, playing with the hem of her top. Although Wonder Girls had very personal lives, she was one of the few along with Hyerim who was very open when it came to her life. Although she has not been present for as long as Yeeun, she is still thankful for them who accepted her so willingly.
Changing the topic, she said, "I wonder when my husband will get here."

Kim Myungsoo of Infinite suddenly gasped from the corner of the botique, almost dropping the bouquet he grasped firmly. He couldn't believe that his new wife was Wonder Girls' Yeo Soojung. He turned around in search for the coordi noona but she was nowhere to be found.
"Jinjja?!" he gasped. He focused back on Soojung again, who was happily chatting with the coordi and VJ that was with her.
He took a deep breath and laughed in disbelief. Out of all the girls he listed down as his ideal type, Myungsoo was actually least expecting Soojung to come. Since she was so busy promoting with Wonder Girls with their new song title 'R.E.A.L', he thought that there was really no possibility. However, seeing her seated so patiently in the corner of the park made him want to run and hide in the van.
"I've been a fan of Wonder Girls ever since Tell Me." he revealed. "But when Soojung debuted with Nobody, my fan level skyrocketed."
"There was an article where Myungsoo-ssi wrote in his minihomphy that he'll debut for Yeo Soju." Soju was an endearing nickname fans called her after she revealed in Made in Wonderland, Wonder Girls' 8 episode reality show under Mnet, that she actually has the highest alcohol tolerance. "Is this true?"
Myungsoo bashfully hid his face behind the roses he got for his wife. "I was still a trainee at that time. It's so embarrassing now that I think about it." When asked why he liked her, he said, "She's young but she has such good leadership qualities. Also, her voice is so pretty and it's really nice to listen to. She's simple and very talented."
"Myungsoo-ssi, you still haven't left?!" The coordi noona laughed as she pushed Myungsoo out of the alley, revealing him to the public's eye.
He suddenly panicked because at the same time, he knew he's been spotted by his wife.

Soojung couldn't help but laugh as she watched Infinite's visual and center, Myungsoo, make his way towards her. She was in the middle of an interview when suddenly, she saw him in the other side of the street at the corner of her eye. She stood up and began to pace around while Myungsoo confidently crossed the street (despite the fact that he was actually very anxious).
The first thing he did was bow when he saw her and so did she.
With the newly formed couple who seemed like they were both characters from a manhwa, how will their married life turn out?

Wendy: I've known Kai since we were trainees. He was one of the youngest and one of the most charismatic ones when it came to dancing (...) Honestly, I watched him grow up and didn't really give much thought about him until I found out that he was my husband. But recently, he's been garnering attention from his noonas and our seniors so it makes me feel like I now have something precious (...) Since I still see him as the kid he is, I'm looking forward to him being a husband for me (...) Kai and Jongin are actually two very different people so hopefully, he lets people have a much deeper insight on Jongin.
Seona: I'm a big fangirl of senior boy groups such as Big Bang, TVXQ, JYJ, and 2PM. So when he surprised me at my dressing room, I was really shocked and happy (...) Honestly, I am a bit deprived when it comes to socializing with the other idols since I'm restricted to those I know in my company. I'm happy he's my husband because I know he'll be able to teach me a lot (...) The chocolates? I ate them while we were on the car kekekeke (...) Ah, aniyo~ Don't mention to me his chocolate abs, I will turn into a fangirl!
Haneul: My members Jia and Fei are close to him since the three of them came from the same hometown. With that, I feel a bit envious since they know more about him than I do (...) I felt intimidated. I'm one of the shortest in my company and he's so tall. We kind of look like David and Goliath *giggles* (...) The back hug? Ah wae, aniya~ Don't bring that up, I feel shy thinking about it (...) i was scared that we'll have a language barrier but after chatting with him, I'm surprised that he's actually very comfortable to be around
Soojung: PD-nim, thank you for giving me such a handsome husband kekeke (...) Myungsoo is someone I'm very familiar with. His name is very popular whenever we talk of Infinite. I have a few label mates who are very fond of him so I'm familiar with him (...) Ah, I actually read the article before that he had pictures of me on his old minihomphy but I never believed them (...) Jinjja?! It's true?!
i wanted to clear something up before you guys begin to get confused. with each couple/family, there will be always two staff accompanying them at all times. one is there VJ/PD (is there a difference, i honestly dont know but who cares, they will be the same person in this story) who is responsible for filming them at all times (with casual questions and commentary here and there) and the other will be the couple coordi, who is responsible for helping them around the set.
by now, i think ive made their image and popularity among their group/entertainment clear but if i didnt, ill explain. wendy is victoria of f(x). she's the leader of her group and she's well acquainted with kai since they both train under the same company. she's a non-korean idol in korea, just like victoria, and is known for this.
seona is like lee hi/iu. she comes from yg and has this very cute image, fitting for her young age. she's a soloist and won her idol spot through the show kpop star season 1. after winning, she trained briefly for 1 year despite fans thinking she didn't need it and went to debut as a singer. since she already had a strong fanbase, she did well for her first couple of solo tracks and is known as a chart killer for having all wins at all time.
soojung (jype), is the new leader of girl group wonder girls (lets pretend it was sunye who left instead of sohee and that they never left korea so yes, they are as popular as snsd) and she's basically a better version of lim when it comes to promotions. since she's still new, she was casted into the show in hopes of revealing more of herself to the public. haneul, who comes from the same agency, is basically the suzy of miss a. she's the visual and gets plenty of love calls from actors, drama directors, and fans.
anyways, i hope this wasn't too boring. the other girls will have their turns in the next episode as well as their first mission. the kids will be making their appearances soon too. c:
